CZ Scorpion Evo Thread - Pictures, Videos, Reviews, Range Reports, Accessories, etc.

Took 'her out for the first time this weekend. Sweet little shooter and love the mp5 slap :) 300 rounds so far and smooth as butter.

Review of parts:

HBI spring kit: get it, best $10 you'll spend and dramatically improves trigger pull

HBI forward trigger: love it. Well made and reduces trigger pull. Combined with the spring kit the pull is around 3.5 pounds. installation was a bit annoying but not hard as I had to sand down the trigger roll pin to make it fit flush. Worth it though.

HBI right side safety delete: if you have the factory grip , this is a must. Saves the factory safety from digging into your trigger finger. Even with an aftermarket grip it still makes a noticeable difference in comfort.

HBI larger charging handle: awesome! Should've come from the factory with it. The longer hook makes it easy to charge the bolt and yet doesn't get in the way

HBI mag release: not really needed but more of a nice-to-have upgrade. Does make taking out mags super easy though with the paddle style release.

YetiWurks grip: awesome. Changes the angle of grip and makes the gun look 10x better. The polymer seems strong but not quite Magpul level.

Lage folding stock: solid like a rock. Uses Ace mounting standards. Downside is that the folding mechanism is very stiff and not as easy to use as the factory one. Looks better than the factory one.

Does anyone know if we can get part #39 from CZ with the little wings on the paddle? I'm not sure why they deleted them but it would be nice to have the tabs for easier MP5 style reloads.

Where'd you order all your parts from?

X2! I want... well, pretty much all of them!!

Tried a couple of different optics on mine, and I think I'm going to stick with the Sparc. I definitely want the HBI spring kit and right-side safety delete, and a different pistol grip. Love the gun, but not loving that factory grip! Actually pretty happy with the factory stock. The mag release is fine, especially as I modded all of my 30/5 mags to drop free.

All the HBI stuff (with the exception of mags and handgaurds) can be bought directly from them. Yes they ship to Canada! They have a healthy selection of parts and all kinds of goodies.

Same as YetiWurks. They ship direct here too. Downside is you may be charged duty and taxes. Seems to be 50/50 on whether the packages get charged or not.

The Lage stock can be bought from ###### Armory but you may be waiting a few months for the stuff to come in. They do sell the HBI handguards though!

Have fun modding!

Sweet, thanks, time to go shopping. I love the look of your stock, but I'm actually liking the ergos of the factory one... probably going to buy most of the rest of the stuff you did though :)

Nice gun Cobra, I like the rail covers but im going to put Magpul XTM enhanced rail covers on mine. I saw a pic of them on a Scorpion and thought they looked better.

Beauty! I was told they should be here End of Nov/Early Dec....
I just read that Manitcore uses weaker springs so the bolt will not stay open after the last round. If this happens I sure hope Sven will take care of it.

Where'd you come across that? I've searched the interwebs and haven't read anything relating to them not holding the bolt open.

Check out the CZ Scorpion EVO III Enthusiasts page on facebook, 14,000 people who love their scorpions. So much great info their.

when did they stop putting the sling slot on the side of the receiver? i noticed its missing from the OP gun and mine gun does not have it ether.

Picked up one on the clearance sale on at Western Metal for $1099! Fluked into the deal so I couldn't resist. Now I just got to wait for it to show up......
