CZ Scorpion Evo Thread - Pictures, Videos, Reviews, Range Reports, Accessories, etc.

Does anyone know what the threading is on the muzzle of the 7 1/2 inch version? Very seriously interested in these now, for half the price of the Sig, with CZ quality it seems to be a great gun at a great price.

it feels balanced. I thought it would be a little front heave but its not, and i think it makes it look a bit better to

Does herron re-use the trunion from the factory barrel, or do you still have a complete factory barrel in the event you wish to go back to restricted at some point for a period of time? (Say for indoors winter shooting)

Cost?

Hey guys, need your help. I received my restricted 7.7" Scorpion yesterday and was reading thru the manual about cleaning, lubrication etc. For barrel cleaning, the manual states " the cleaning rod and brush must be inserted into the barrel from the chamber to prevent wear or damage". This is pretty standard info, but here is the problem. How the hell do you get a cleaning rod thru the barrel when there's not enough chamber length to get to rod started into the barrel ? The gun was sent with a bore snake, but that's not gonna work for running clean patches 'n such to thoroughly clean the barrel. No sign of an access port at the stock end either. So what are you guys using to run patches and brushes thru ? Is there such a thing as a flexible cleaning rod ?

I highly, highly doubt that running a cleaning rod muzzle in isn't going to cause any wear or damage. Use it as you normally would.

I'll add to the picture portion of this thread.

After some serious sanding/fitting, for the TD grip to fit.
Just waiting on an Aimpoint T1 on trade, and someone to bring in some reasonably priced 30 round mags.

What's everyone's thoughts on grips? The stock one has to go, but I'm not sure which grip is the way to go.

Got mine today, after it toured Canada thanks to Canada Post!!

One thing I hadn't clued into, despite seeing many photos, is that there is no way to release the bolt from the right side - I think the lack of an ambi bolt release is a bot of a design oversight. Still, looking forward to trying it out.

I had the chance to take mine out last weekend and ran it through numerous courses of fire including off hand shooting.
It's quite easy to actuate the bolt release with your left hand trigger finger, once you start training it of course.

40000 psi and a hot piece of lead at 1000 degree going at 1100 fps wouldnt damage a barrel but a brass rod will!???

That's my point. I want to run a cleaning rod thru from the chamber end as I normally would, but there's not enough room to get a cleaning rod started into the chamber.

You know what? I can see where this is headed. Just forget I asked at all. I'll talk to the CZ Custom guys instead.
