Waiting for TI's shipping notification is like waiting for a reply from a decent chick on a dating site, lol.

Don't despair, even though she probably has 500 other guys messaging her too. ;)

Still nothing for me on just my fixed rifle. "T81 Deposit Received". It's funny I ordered a bayonet and Type 81 chest rig from China the same day the rifles started shipped and I already got those all the way from China before TI even did anything with my order. It literally takes less time to get something from China then it does from TI.

ok, so TI started shipping 11 days ago. Supposedly they were working on weekends to speed things up, but even if not true, that would still be 8 business days.

They have not started shipping folders yet, so can assume that in 8 business days, they have shipped less than 500 rifles. We know this because they only ordered 500 fixed stock rifles, they aren't sold out, and there are still guys with fixed stock orders here posting that they don't have a shipping notice yet.

So let's conservatively say they have shipped 450 rifles - although I doubt that, it's probably fewer for the above noted reasons.

That would mean 56 rifles per business day are being shipped (again, it's probably less than that).

So if there are still at least 550 rifles to ship, that would mean at LEAST 9 more business days before most fixed stock orders even get a shipping notice, then the average Canada Post shipping estimate time posted in this thread is 9 business days. So at least 18 more business days before many get their rifles - that puts us well into December. December 8th, to be precise.

By comparison, I ordered an AK mag yesterday night from Lever Arms. Today it was on a Canada Post truck, and it will likely be at my house before Friday according to Canada Post.

I also ordered some Thermold FAL mags from IRG on November 7th. They were shipped on the 8th, and despite a stat holiday for postal workers on the 13th, they are down the road at the post office already waiting for me to walk over and pick them up.

Can someone advise what is printed on the shipping labels on the guns you are receiving? Are they being shipped "Expedited Parcel", which is basically express post for a business rate, or are they being shipped "Standard Parcel" - which is like maybe a dollar cheaper per parcel, but takes twice as long to arrive?

TI, I'm sorry to add my voice to the growing number of complainers here, but this shipping pace is rather unreasonable. No way it should take over a calendar month to ship these rifles - you've had months to get ready for this, pre-print labels, verify PALs, etc. and ensure you would have sufficient labour available to expedite this order. I don't agree with your order prioritization process as it send the wrong message to your more loyal customers to have guys who ordered rifles after they were landed get their orders shipped before guys who pre-ordered 2 years ago, but leaving that aside, this pace is sad.

This is a $1M order and I'm betting there is a very healthy profit margin built into that. Spend a little overhead and get some help from a temp employee who is a PAL holder or something.

Takes me about 15 minutes to get a package ready to ship , add 5 minutes to verify PAL and another 5 to get extras in the box. So lets say 4 rifles an hour X 10 hours X 8 days is only 320 rifles if its 1 person working.

Probably why I dont have tracking yet :) But I dont really care since I got a safe full of SKS's already to play with... lol...

They do seem to be a little overwhelmed, but are reports coming from those that received these is that they are strapped down differently and only a light bit a oil on them? If they are pulling extras out of every box, and re strapping down rifles/accessories then it would add time. Also didnt they claim that they were covered in cosmoline when they were still on the boat? Are they cleaning them?

No, the cosmolene thing is what KellyAnne Conway would call an "Alternate Fact". Being charitable, we can chalk this up to accidental misinformation from TI - perhaps the chinese said greased, but meant oiled. They may have been speaking chinese... lol.

There is about ZERO chance TI is cleaning cosmo off rifles and re-packing them in the cellophane bags. They were likely just coated in heavy oil from the factory.

Expedited Label on mine Claven

Thanks. Well that's good news then - it means if you live in a major hub (Ottawa, Montreal, Halifax, Toronto, Calgary, Winnipeg, Vancouver, etc.), shipping time will likely only be 3 or 4 business days, regardless what the shipping estimated time is from CPC.

Of course, if you live off the beaten track... well... nobody forced you to live there ;)

That would explain a lot. If they are gutting everything in the box and resetting/cleaning it would add a lot of time. If they only have 500 fixed in and are truly working weekend (11 days total) they are clearly doing less then 50 rifles a day. Maybe even less then 40. Figure in an 8 hour day that's about 5 an hour. For one guy. Wonder if using Alberta instead of there base in Ontario is affecting things?

If it's true that they really only have one guy working on this, I would never do business with TI again. That would be so amateur it's not even funny to handle 1000 rifles worth over $1M, not including accessory sales that are all pre-paid for. It would have been a slap in TI's customers face if it were true.

For the record, I don't believe that for a second. No way it's only one guy.

My T81 has shipped!! Checked the website today and Bam there it was.. it shipped several days previously according to the tracking number via Canada Post.

I live in a city under an hour from London.. Expedited shipping on the 9th.. supposed to arrive on the 20th. Absolutely obscene
