I got mine today. I was pretty impressed with how it was boxed. Rifle seems pretty well built. Not a huge fan of the sights, still trying to figure out how to cram my face low enough.
Even got it in the house without the wife seeing.

Ordered a fixed stock. 5 mags total. Put in my order in october, still patiently waiting for my tracking number. Can't imagine how some of you that have been waiting a year or more feel.

Just wanted to jump in and say that I have met the guys from TI at the Toronto Sportsmens show twice now, which is where I first saw and held the type 81 prototype. There are at least 3 of them working there. Nice guys as well. It's definetly not one guy doing all the shipping.

Btw I'm a long time lurker and I do believe this is my first post. I'll update with pics when I get my rifle.

Cheers!

I live in a city under an hour from London.. Expedited shipping on the 9th.. supposed to arrive on the 20th. Absolutely obscene

Every single time I've had something ship it gives a date far exceeding when it actually shows. My tracking number said the 17th, it arrived today.

They never tell you it'll arrive sooner, because if they do, and it isn't there yet, people will lose their minds. Have you never had anything ship via canada post before?

They are doing a repack of some sort as part of their load processing, that much is obvious. Maybe for smaller shipping parcels? Which is what I don't understand, in my experience (not with guns) one person can open the initial shipping box, add or remove what is needed (styrofoam?) and then pass those items on to the next person who could package each rifle (with what it would come with at minimum) into the customer shipping box. Two people doing this can process a lot quite quickly, you might be surprised. Think assembly line. Add your picker and the line is complete. Add extra people to each stage as you have them.

Once you have a pile of ready to go basic packages your "picker" can grab from there and send right away to those who are only getting the "basic" package or more likely just add the extra mags most people will be getting and then ship. In fact this seems to be precisely what they are doing. If your picker is only applying the final label, adding extras, taping it up and doing whatever other final stage stuff for shipping, a competent person can process quite a lot in a shift. Maybe I worked with good people, i don't know.

So far only single rifle orders are shipping? I haven't seen any multiple rifle orders being sent out yet, at least not posted to my recollection. If so I can imagine fewer rifles have been shipped than most will be hoping for. When you get to the people who ordered doubles or even quadruples (or even more!) I would hope that means that the numbers of rifles shipped out daily goes up.

Hahaha I certainly have but 11 days is the rate of time it would take for a bicycle messenger to travel the distance.
I hope you're right and it arrives soon because I'm itching to test it out

If it's true that they really only have one guy working on this, I would never do business with TI again. That would be so amateur it's not even funny to handle 1000 rifles worth over $1M, not including accessory sales that are all pre-paid for. It would have been a slap in TI's customers face if it were true.

For the record, I don't believe that for a second. No way it's only one guy.

lol..yeah I don't think its one guy either..I just meant that was what one guy could do. But that means if its even just 2 staff it works out to 2.5 rifles an hour.

JUST got a update, shipped 2 days ago will be here the 22nd, fixed stock. + 3 mags on a separate order. They also combined my 2 separate orders into one.

So I fully expect to be band for this, but just know... insider information . One, the rifles are shipped in Polytech foam boxes, two... with slings and oilers. Basically reason for the shipping delay is they are physically stripping ever order and revising to pack extras, on top of that you’ve seen the employee folder, the bin situation is a lie and to buy time to price Gauge you for things that were originally included in the box from Polytech. Also Ti paid a total of $199 a unit on this shipment. Believe me or not this is legit information and should help you make sense of the horrible work ethics of this company. Look into it but, first screen shot this because I bet it’s removed and thats the proof you need.

Well this is quite the revelation. I wonder if this will be removed from the thread ?

ok, so TI started shipping 11 days ago. Supposedly they were working on weekends to speed things up, but even if not true, that would still be 8 business days.

They have not started shipping folders yet, so can assume that in 8 business days, they have shipped less than 500 rifles. We know this because they only ordered 500 fixed stock rifles, they aren't sold out, and there are still guys with fixed stock orders here posting that they don't have a shipping notice yet.

So let's conservatively say they have shipped 450 rifles - although I doubt that, it's probably fewer for the above noted reasons.

That would mean 56 rifles per business day are being shipped (again, it's probably less than that).

So if there are still at least 550 rifles to ship, that would mean at LEAST 9 more business days before most fixed stock orders even get a shipping notice, then the average Canada Post shipping estimate time posted in this thread is 9 business days. So at least 18 more business days before many get their rifles - that puts us well into December. December 8th, to be precise.

By comparison, I ordered an AK mag yesterday night from Lever Arms. Today it was on a Canada Post truck, and it will likely be at my house before Friday according to Canada Post.

I also ordered some Thermold FAL mags from IRG on November 7th. They were shipped on the 8th, and despite a stat holiday for postal workers on the 13th, they are down the road at the post office already waiting for me to walk over and pick them up.

Can someone advise what is printed on the shipping labels on the guns you are receiving? Are they being shipped "Expedited Parcel", which is basically express post for a business rate, or are they being shipped "Standard Parcel" - which is like maybe a dollar cheaper per parcel, but takes twice as long to arrive?

TI, I'm sorry to add my voice to the growing number of complainers here, but this shipping pace is rather unreasonable. No way it should take over a calendar month to ship these rifles - you've had months to get ready for this, pre-print labels, verify PALs, etc. and ensure you would have sufficient labour available to expedite this order. I don't agree with your order prioritization process as it send the wrong message to your more loyal customers to have guys who ordered rifles after they were landed get their orders shipped before guys who pre-ordered 2 years ago, but leaving that aside, this pace is sad.

This is a $1M order and I'm betting there is a very healthy profit margin built into that. Spend a little overhead and get some help from a temp employee who is a PAL holder or something.
Im going to take the risk of being shunned also. Why are you only shipping fixed stocks???Why when one folder got out did you silence the recipient?Im tired of this stop bothering us attitude,If the rifles are in Alberta then it will not slow anything down to ask Where is my rifle.I see you stop here and read the threads,You take aprox 20 min to do so.And its too much to ask.Where is my rifle.Canadians are used to a 1st come/pay 1st served.Your excuse was it was the way the container was packed???Are you thinking its ok to punish your customers for voicing valid concerns???Whats going on???.Why havnt you shipped any folders???.Are you really cheaping out on shipping and employing 1 person to ship.If I get banned for asking these questions the rest of you should worry.RIP Bumse!!

I can see this not being to far off. Basically what I have surmised already, without the price gouging or work ethic (I think you meant business ethic) comments

I don't really care what their cost was or the profit margin. I am ok with the price I paid, but I'm not ok with what I perceive as exceptionally poor performance from ti in getting rifle's shipped, and that they are tone deaf to the message they send when new November orders get rifle's before orders placed in 2016.

It's like they are hell bent on displeasing the customer base.

Believe what you want but this is good information and I am surly not Zab. Ask around, make inquiries... I hope you do. My objective was to make the situation known not convince anyone. Take it for what it is, but what it is .. is fact. Don’t be naive

I have insider information that it’s taking so long because ti has to do blood ritual sacrifice for every rifle before it ships. The rifle demands the souls of the innocent
