MDI is sometimes called Matrix...think it stands for Matrix Diversified Industries?

That's the worst-named rifle I've ever heard of for search engines, though. Company name is a 3 letter acronym, model name is the standard acronym for a common type of camera...but if you add in gun terms to try to narrow it down you get references to Self Loading Rifle.


Manufacturers, here is a suggestion: if you launch a new product, give it a name like WerfRifle.

The boring names are a strategy. Hard for the RCMP or CBC to vilify a gun with a simple name like "SLR", as opposed to something like the "Predator Defense Child Toucher". Or anything with "AR" in it.
