Help healing my sick M39’s scope
Hey folks, not sure whether to post this here or in the optics section so....here it is.
I’ve got a beautiful VKT M39 with a captured Russian PEM scope. For a while there I was getting groups the size of Ontario, and I figured the barrel must have just been shot out. Then the lightbulb came on in my brain and I tried the iron sights...what do you know...1.5 inch groups suddenly emerge from the muzzle.
So, it would appear that the crosshairs of the PEM scope shift with every shot. What’s more, the reticle goes slightly out of focus, suggesting the lenses are no longer glued in place in there. Is there anyone on here who knows where I can get this scope repaired? I’ve heard of a gentleman who fixes No 32 scopes, but can’t seem to find anyone who works on the Russian stuff.
