Dust cover was finicky but went back on without too much trouble. I'm shooting it tomorrow. I will report my results.
When I went to disassemble mine for cleaning I noticed the dust cover was a pain to get off and then back on afterwards, it seemed like the back tab that you push in to release was getting hung up on the receiver where it slides. Also the handguard was tricky to get off.
I only put 10 rounds through it about 80ish yards distance and seen it was shooting left of POA. The front sight on mine is centered but will have to drift it left to get it hitting proper.
Never had any feed or eject issues using corrosive surplus but I only shot 10 rounds through it. It feels like it has more recoil then my vz58.

That’s what I did. I received it early last week. I just wish I had a rifle to use it on.
Not sure if anyone has tried it yet, but with a file, a scalpel and 15 minutes a Magpul Pmag for an ak will fit the type 81!
it feeds and fires with no issue, but unfortunately the last round bolt hold open does not work with it because the follower is different
It fits tighter than the factory magazine with no wiggle

I used a dremel on 2 AK Moe magpul mags. Done in 5 minutes and they fit fine. Going to try them out at the range tomorrow!
Seeing as it's taken almost 3 weeks to get most of the fixed out the door, not sure how they're going to do all the folders in one week.
Kind of annoyed by the lack of updates. No emails from TI or anything. Nothing posted on their Facebook. If it wasn't for the occasional one line or snarky joke they post here, there'd be nothing. It'd be very helpful if they'd just come clean and say "here's where things are right now."

Agreed. Can't believe the tone of their responses and that one joke about shipping someone's order last, wtf is that? Not professional at all, definitely not the way I'd treat my customers. To me it seems like they told a lie and it keeps snowballing..

lol,, well d-leach is my first initial and last name no attempt to conceal my identity what so ever haha, and there comment on shipping mine last instead of actually telling the customer base WHAT IS GOING ON is a joke in itself as for that shotgun pic don't be jealous
And on that note if I see no tracking info by noon Monday I will be cancelling both my rifles as well, to be honest some the of the close up pics I have seen leave ALOT to be desired and the fit and finish is comical to say the least, honestly the main reason for backing out is that my money will not help these fools in the next "scam" they have in the books.
