M10X Canadian MSRP set

Thanks for that. Some folks seem to be fixated on the cocking slots, but as you say they are no greater "issue" than those found on an AK. Aside from that one video where the reviewer packed sand into the slots and induced a trigger group stoppage, the print and video reviews have been universally enthusiastic. I am very much looking forward to this new platform as an evolutionary amalgam of the best parts of other designs. The steel inner receiver with an extruded aluminum shroud for the monolithic upper is desgn genius. I predict a very positive future for the M10Xin Canada, notwithstanding the "doom and gloom" fantasies of the nay-sayers.

Handling the rifle right now & I am very impressed & more so after talking to the CEO/Designer of the platform. Ergonomics are spot on for me as are the over all controls / great feeling trigger & accuracy is not as described by another vendor - 1 MOA with Norma or similar quality match or hunting ammunition // 2-3 MOA is the average spread with a hodgepodge of surplus ammunition. NOMEX clothing engage let the flaming begin!!!!

Ah man gadget

Where were you able to play with one????

in reality how often do you bury your rifle in the sand while at the beach.

Exactly. Yet it is the only "shortcoming" that the haters can conjure, based on a single video. Who cares though? The only losers in this game will be the haters who are too stupid to admit that they were wrong about the M10X in the first place.

I think he got a raw deal here from the speculation bunch.

They got caught with their hands in the cookie jar, they deserve a slap on the wrist, but some people are taking it awfully far.
I saw the price increase on their website, put a sour taste in my mouth, and pushed the rifle out of a price range I'm comfortable paying. I don't feel personally slighted like a lot of people seem to, but now I'm just not a customer that's all.

Saying things like boycotting them or hope they go bankrupt is silly, but they didn't get a 'raw deal'. Caught, called out, drama ensued. Now it's time for us, the gun buying public to either buy it or not and leave it at that. The raw deal if we want to call it that, is the excessive beating a dead horse comments and personal attacks, but not the initial drama.

That said I will own one someday, but it'll wind up being at used prices or on sale, or price drop.

Tenda was still offering the pre-sale as of this morning. I am still undecided between an 18.5" NR version or the Restricted 16.5" US barrel length. Each has their various rewards and risks in terms of handling, procurement method and (potential) warranty coverage. I'm in no hurry, so plenty of time to sleep on it.....

No hands in the cookie jar. Nameless people posted prices that never came from M&M. Are you aware that you are buying a nitrated stainless steel rifle made entirely from scratch in the US? Barrel is nitrated 4150 steel, hell even the screws are nitrated. North Sylva is not gouging either, sorry conspiracy theorists. You type 81 stamped rifle that was mass produced with sheet metal and some of the cheapest labour in the world comes in at $1000. Do the math. I'm privy to the margins and I can tell you no one is getting rich on these overnight.

Do you know what you are talking about? Nitrided stainless steel rifle? What's stainless steel... not the barrel, not all the aluminum on it? Is the STAMPED receiver (you know, stamped like the T81) now made of stainless?
Nitriding is a nice feature, but it is not an expensive treatment.
Wait and see what the US price drops to once the Canadian order is delivered, then you will see how bad you are getting jacked.
