Type 81 Owners Corner !

I just sent TI an email saying o check my rifle before hand, if or when it ships as I won't be paying a 20% restocking fee. If they want to ship a damaged products that's on them and I simply won't eat costs for their poor QC.

Advised if they won't check and confirm before shipping, go ahead and cancel it. Not rolling the dice on this company to potentially be out $200 if a lemon shows up.

Good idea.

Doing the same... tired of the games just to get a damaged rifle or be out 200 bucks because TI is being totally incompetent!

Someone start an official thread to TI telling them we want all further rifles inspected before being shipped

Plus I sent them an email as well. I wasn’t going to be rude as they have not done anything personally to me yet, I haven’t even received tracking. I’m not liking what I’m seeing however from them as a company, our best weapon is mass non compliance on this return shipping and 20% restocking fee for a defective item paid for in full. I hope everything works out as I was looking forward to this rifle.

“ I would like to take the time to tell you to please inspect my folder for order #3877, as if shipped defective I will not be paying return shipping or a 20% restocking fee for a full refund. It is your responsibility as a company to make sure products representative of Tactical Importants meet the standards for Canadian customers. I will not be faulted for the incompetence if any on your part to deliver a product I’ve paid in full for.

Regards,
.............. “

If they are unable to deliver maybe we should consider a class action lawsuit.

Nothing for me as well... but after 4 days of saying nothing.. TI did put up a post to state they will charge a 20% restocking fee... for anyone that gets a defective firearm and wants their money back!

They also said they have only 1 complaint about a defective firearm...... but then again they may be going through emails in a TI kind of way... which means a few days behind plus a unknown number of days on top of that!... Then the Thread was... mysterious Locked!!

Hit the range today for 200 rounds of fun (with only 2 mags)...

Fired on the 50m range... the bar above the sights does block out some sight picture... but at 50m not enough to be an issue. Not one ftf or fte and the recoil was very light. Accuracy... meh.

I fired my SKS right aftwewards and noticed it had more recoil felt in the shoulder but less barrel rise after each shot. The sks sights were nice after using the bar one on the T81.

SKS

Same bench, ammo, bag and shooter.

All in its fun, more fun than the SKS. The SKS wins in accuracy though, especially after 40 rounds through each... the groups were much tighter with theSKS.

Is it bent at all?

They already had select fire SKS, and a clone of AK. This was supposed to be an improvement on both.

So is it just these half-assedly assembled canadian rifles or the design itself is inherently worse than both AK and SKS?
