Type 81

The lack of communication from TI is mind boggling. They've replied to every email I've sent them within 24 hours, probably because I messaged them with praise for my rifle and another time about magazines and not #####ing about anything. I'm surprised they don't create a locked thread in their page where they can post updates and information without the whiners clogging it up with trash.
I would get real tired of it as well if everyone waiting was messaging me three times a day just to ask the same question or complain but that shouldn't stop them from posting updates to let people know what the F is going on.

A couple of pics of mine.

At this point it sounds more and more like the thing to do literally by the hour, as shipping notices/updates/replies don't come in and keep getting postponed.

I guess tomorrow will be D-day. No shipping notices as promised + risk of bent rifles = mass cancellations.

Thats about it.... with all this BS over the folders i am thinking it may be better to get my money.. and wait.

I can’t believe they have nothing to say on the matter !?! Watch them tell ppl too bad, so sorry it already shipped... due to our return policy no refunds will be granted. Guess I’m probably out too :/

Well you will get the time CP picks up the rifle.. but with all this BS i really dont want to wait another 6 months to get a replacement. I like the rifle.. but really sick of this game.

WHAT???? Why would you have to pay return shipping on something that should've never been shipped to you in the first place? If they don't inspect the rifles properly prior to sending them off to customers THE FIRST TIME, how's that THE CUSTOMER'S fault?

Amazon and a whole lot of other online businesses "get it" and never have you pay return shipping on defective out of the box merchandise. They send you a prepaid shipping label instead, all you have to spend on is tape and gas to bring it to Canada Post, which is already a pain in the ass all in itself.

A prepaid return shipping label is the least they can goddamn do for you, if they're gonna waste your time, stress and energy with returns of defective "controlled merchandise"... you already paid $35 shipping one way, after all! Damn this is p*ssing me off now. Eternal wait, still no tracking/order update and the prospect of getting a defective item + hassles about returns if it arrives all f**ked up.

Great...!

Yeah you're 100% right. Initially my thought was "well its not TI's fault the rifle wasnt properly QC'd" so i thought wy not spread the shipping responsibility between buyer and seller...slept on it and the reality is TI is still responsible for the integrity of the gun, so you're correct that they should be covering all shipping fees.

And yeah, restocking fee should definitely not apply there for refunds.

If TI doesnt revise their refund policy for defective products I will definitely not buy from them again. This would be a much more serious issue than just shipping delay.

Youza.

I imagine any business would stand behind returning a factory defective product, or at least I hope.

I sent them a polite email asking that they look it over, and if they don't feel comfortable refunding my money if I return it due to a factory defect, then don't bother shipping it. No hard feelings, I said I think we can just avoid headache for both of us if you don't ship it if it's ####ed. Ive had good communications and assistance from them throughout the preorder, so I'm not sharpening my pitchfork yet.

I've been satisfied too up to now but i'm concerned that they already told at least one person who had a bent rifle that restocking fee applied for a refund. id like to hear them reverse that.

Did they respond to your request not to ship a lemon?

Any time you buy a "trunion" gun with the barrel fixed to a riveted, or welded trunion, you should always check that it's straight - there are bent AK's out there too. It's a common enough fault, and it's essentially uncorrectable.

I certainly hope it would not have to come to that, but I would be going to my CC issuer if that ended up being the case.

The problem with that I believe is that after a certian amount of time (some have stated the standard 90 days) the CC issuer won't reverse any charges. So that wouldn't work for people who have preordered long ago.
