...step out over the line and advertise what you have...it's the only way to know...

thanks and good luck

One piece hulls (where wall and bottom are moulded out of one piece plastic) are in demand, trash the rest.
Just look inside the AA and gun club hulls and you know what to look for.

Current production (12 gauge) AA HS hulls are two piece construction (white base wad and case made of separate pieces of plastic). They are not the same quality and won't give the same number of reloads as the long discontinued one piece AA compression formed hulls. I have come across a small number of AA HS hulls with red base wads . . . they appear to be made of a different plastic than current AA HS hulls and have a much longer reloading life than current AA HS hulls.

If memory serves me the red base wads you have to be very careful with reloading since they were separating and causing possible barrel blockages
When the new HS came out the hull was not stamped HS like they are today and quickly stared to give issues so were pulled and quickly replaced after about 1 year
I maybe wrong but check since I know it is the unstamped hulls they say to stay away from and most I think were red base wad
Cheers

Better get used to 25 cents plus for the old style .I just sold 500 of the old style 410 AA for 50 cents each and he was the one offering that I didnot even want to sell them
He hates the HS style in 41o
Cheers

The fellow was selling the new style 410 hulls. I took advantage of a 20% off sale, and the $2US per box rebate and bought a couple of thousand factory AA loads instead. I would rather pay $13 per box for loads than $7.50 for a box of fired hulls.

Understand . These new boxes you bought are the new HS hulls correct. Some love them some hate them for reloading
Have you reloaded any of the new HS 410 so far.
I have reloaded a fair amount of 28ga hs and find them just fine with the right wad, have not done enough 410 HS to decide yet
Cheers

Thanks for the info 3macs1.

I just checked my red base wad hulls . . . they are "unstamped," as you say. I got them a few years ago from an older gent at our club, he gave me several hundred once fired AA compression formed hulls. Before I reloaded any of them, I checked them for foreign matter and that's when I noticed some of them (about 150) had the separate red base wad. I guess I've been lucky, I've reloaded them 6 times with no issues. No sense pressing my luck though, I'll ditch them now.

At this point, I am still shooting the factory AA loads and accumulating 410 components.
