If I were stuck with a crooked T81 (which is not going to happen, thank you Mastercard!), I'd try to straighten it by driving over it with my truck first, lol!

Nothing a few old 2x4's and 2+ tons of American Freedom steel won't fix... especially when it comes to bending inferior Chinesium steel!

I'm not kidding. I will pay $350 for any bent type 81 in otherwise ok condition. Spare parts are always valued in my shop. Just pm me - I have EMTs ready ;)
 
I tell you this " crooked rifle " thing is bugging the crap outta me......every time I see the pics I wanna jam my fingers down my throat for real........still waiting in tracking on my fixed stock.....when it gets here its better be crème de la crème as I think I'm the only guy who is still waiting on tracking for a single fixed stock which was ordered in April 2016 (10 mags) (3 now) they gotta be going in alphabetical order as my last name starts with a "W" for fvck sakes what is going on here:bangHead:

4 emails sent this week and countless phone calls....I just gotta wait it out cause there will be no chance getting thru To them to cancel my order in see how it looks when in gets here....even if it's not Bent I might send it back.....but they only getting 2 mags back cause I'm gonna keep the third as my pre order bonus just to remember the hell i went thru

Definitely not alphabetical. Mine would been one of the first to ship if that were true.
 
^^^^^ok cleared that theory up.......what program are you guys using to draw those "laser lines" down the top not the rifle after you have taken a picture of it.....I need to confirm mine is not bent when it gets here.....any info would be a great help as I'm not that computer friendly but can definitely figure it out if I knew what to use to do this

You don't need pictures or a confuzer program, lol... all you have to do is take a piece of string and run it under tension from the middle of the front sight to the middle of that receiver cover button in the back.

If she's straight, the string will run true right down the middle of the gun. It's how your grandpa did it whenever he ordered crooked AKs from Century Arms, lol!

Opening the picture with Mircosoft paint......... then selecting the line button..... then drawing the line.

Honestly I probably would too, looks like you've got some competition haha. Never ordered one of these rifles even though it was tempting a few months ago. Bought a cz 858 recently instead and I'm glad I did. Looking at this T81 issue, I think its the last nail in the coffin for me when it comes to Chinese quality ever since I got an M305 with an over indexed barrel. It always grinds my gears have the front sight so far off to the side.

No clue about the steel provenance, but my truck was built in Louisville, Kentucky by freedom-loving and hard working Americans and from materials at their disposal at the time. I'll tell you this though: the steel rusts a lot less than what you see on Asian and European imports of that era, lol... so there must be some red, white and blue in that steel after all.

The T81 doesn't stand a chance, with its' inferior and irradiated cancer-causing chicom steel; it would probably bend back to straight out of intimidation alone, lol! ;)

That being said.... still no status update / no tracking (no cheese grater in my order either).

Checking emails, spam folder and TI's webpage a few times a day (to plan for the delivery) for the last few weeks is so much f***ing fun! A truly stellar customer experience paved with broken promises.
