They currently carry a SigWell if their using the 22 one would think they would use the 17 if their switching to 9mm since it's the same in almost every way as the 22.

DAO in 40S&W. The Glock will be a welcome change to those having a hard time hitting the target.
What sig does the opp carry? Are they having accuracy issues?

No accuracy issues, they've just reached their self live. 20+ years.
With the amount of practice rds. allotted to them, I'm sure they all have a low round count. Too bad they weren't up for resale.

. practice practice practice makes perfect. or close to it.
I think the opp sig magazines hold 12 rounds of 40 S&W.
Anybody have any idea if the RCMP are looking for something new? I know their inventory is around that 20 year lifespan..
I had a look at one of those Sig 40 cal double action pistols at a club one night the OPP carry and I didn't like it at all . why would they even think of going to 9mm from 40 cal ? I know the recoil is more snappy with the 40 but if I was in law Enforcement I'd rather have a 40 than a 9mm . the Glock will be a welcome change . but they will have to get used to the trigger. practice practice practice makes perfect. or close to it. I heard some police departments in the US are switching to 9mm also. lots of talk on the net about used 40s coming up for sale for cheap.
That's a luxury they don't have money/time for.
Sad but true..He means they don't get alot of free ammo to practice with and most won't seek practice or training outside of the ammo their given unless quals are coming up.
