This is a rifle group at 100m with irons, and it's OK, but I know I could do better.
That's the difference son, you don't know what you don't know, and when you see an average Joe shoot really well, then it gives you something to compare yourself to, and strive to be better. I'm the worst shooter I know out of the bunch I shoot with. There are a lot of guys out there that shoot 3-4" groups at 300m with irons routinely. I hope to get there some day...

Mike - I said PISTOL groups at 50m, not rifle groups. Any maroon with good peep sights on a decent rifle can do under 2MOA at up to 100m. I do it all the time - Pretty sure I;ve done it with you
I just believe you are exaggerating in your claim you can shoot better than 4" groups at 50m. In fact, I'd bet you could not manage a 5 round 6" group at 50m.
I shoot around 4" groups at 15 to 20m. That opens up considerably out of a 4.5" barrel with a 4 or 5" sight radius at 50m. For me, anyway. No sh!t - if you can hold 4" at 50M with a full calibre pistol - you really should be on the olympic team. You'd be a genuine contender to medal.
If the 81 is better..... Why didn't nearly the entire world adopt it like they did the AK?
Would I like a T81.... You bet your ars. But it has nothing to do with being 'better' and everything to do with the simple fact there are none. For what its worth.... I love my AKs with 30 round magazines. Just sayin.

Christ, someone duct tape a scope onto the side of a T81 and shoot a group and we will see how accurate it is compared to an SKS.

Dude, your in Texas. No sh!t you'd like your AKs better. But many of the combloc affectionados down there are jealous because they can't have one. Can't win them all.
You actually care what size groups a rifle like this shoots? Now THAT is what is laughable!!
......And also a bit sad, really.
Im going to buy a T81 once they cost as much as my T97. It will sit in my safe forever since I own a AR15 and CZ858 that will cover all my shooting needs.

Me? No. It just gives another opportunity to laugh at you guys. And trust me, you lot have given me a lot to laugh about.
For the same reason that by 1981 nobody was adopting the AK, SKS or VZ58 either. It's a shooting toy these days, nothing more, nothing less.
proof or it never happened. 4" or better group at 50 yards = 8MOA from a pistol. Would love to see that caught on video. Most olympic shooters can't do that using highly customized precision pistols, eye magnifiers, and with low powered match grade .22LR ammo

For those that care, the 10 ring on a 50m olympic pistol target is 2" in diameter. The 9 ring is 4" in diameter. A perfect score is 600, to be on the Canadian olympic team, you have to shoot 560, which means you MIGHT maintain a 4" group. Maybe.

Tell you what, I'll start practicing in the spring, and by summer I'll be be able to put a cylinder full of 38spl into 6" at 50m out of my 686 at anytime. If I can't, you get my 686, if I can I get your T81 (so don't bubba it up just yet...lol).

Measuring on a Figure 12/59, the top cluster MPI measures 4”, but when you include it all (with the three rounds down by the rifle and bayonet) it grows to 7”, so 8 moa and 14 moa at 50m.
Either guys are just chucking rounds down range, suck at shooting, or there is some binding/timing issues with the rifles that have posted up groups.
While I get that this thing isn’t an accuracy platform, even with sh!t surplus it should be capable of producing better groups than this.
