Hows the mag pinned? What arsenal? Yeah was hoping for blued since that’s what they mentioned but for the price I won’t be too disappointed

these are not CTC returns, everyone we have pulled out so far has been blued.

Unfortunately there are never any guarantees when it comes to anything surplus which is why our website makes no mention of condition,finish, stock etc.

Trying to understand if these are unissued new vs. refurbished.

Military rearsenaled or factory refurbished is what these will be. That means it went through the refurbishment process to bring the once issued and used rifle up to like new milspec. It would likely have had items like the gas tube, pistons, stocks magazines, barrels etc replaced as needed as each firearm was evaluated during that procedure. It essentially makes it a firearm that functions like a new firearm though psrts may be force matched or not with the serials. The chances of getting an never issued SKS now are slim to none unless you buy private sales from someone letting one go from their collection, and you will pay the premium price to match.

Never said I want to return it, in fact said I won’t be disappointed. I know I’m not the only one excited for a blued sks. Will see when mine arrives Monday, it Could be a fluke that one was bbq paint.

Either way it’s going to get its use and I’m excited to see what I get. The sks lottery.

So here is mine i just pulled it from the box. Dingy forget the cleaning kit, oil can and stripper clips in the bottom of the box. It's marked with the square with diagonal line through it 1st grau arsenal. No date stamped on the receiver though i must say i know nothing about the sks i just bought one to have one. Now i get to open the bcl102

This is one of the late production "Letter Guns". They have a Cyrillic letter at the end of the serial number and the Star further back on the receiver. The Russians stopped stamping date and Factory stamps on the receiver covers part way through '55. This one was made '56 to possibly '58 depending on which theory you subscribe to. The Cyrillic letters will be one of 3 letters which in English would be "D", "I"(backwards "N" in Cyrillic), and "K". Due to the same letters used on the Makarov pistols which indicate date by the use of those same letters, it is thought that very possibly these were made as late as '58 (D=56, I=57, K=58). These were the last of the Russian production guns (very possibly from parts that were left over from the previous manufacture and they used up the parts that were available into complete rifles) as they gave the tooling to China in 56. But no firm evidence has been obtained so they are assumed to have been made for sure by 56 but as late as 58.

Nice, like they said in the add, clean it well first, it is a milsurp, lots of YouTube videos on cleaning the sks!
