Maybe, the lafette tripod I have has the aa pole mount with it and that curved piece whatever its called bolts right up to it once you remove the mg42 mount
I have a proper mg34 aa tripod as well but had to get that one from Germany
Looks like Dilligaf has everything sorted,at least he got a good deal on his tripod I couldn't find anyone to ship one up here from the US

Is your proper mg34 tripod all aluminium other than the top piece?

here is an easy was to make a mount with a few pieces of metal if you just order the yoke mount, or whatever its called.

Im a carpenter So it was cheaper to pay 80$ and get one that was already made

No the one I have is steel so it's late war or post war construction
It is painted in the yellow dunkelgelb though and has red primed underneath

Well today started out pretty chitty, the ebay person refunded me my money saying he didnt want to ship to Canada. So I checked out Gunbroker https://www.gunbroker.com/item/742571863 and this one was still in package for 25$ more but the shipping was 100$ cheaper...lol...

He ships from the Netherlands.

I have one for my 42 ...when i could shoot it it worked just fine but dont bother with the brass catcher it just falls off

That part part works on the Bundeswehr MG3 AA Tripod so that you can mount the MG34.

The one you ordered should be a direct fit on the tripod your getting, plus it's the proper mount.
The one on e bay would probably work but you'd have to fab up a way to mount it to your tripod

That eBay seller who has that other style mount is really good to deal with too. I've bought lots of stuff from her.
If your looking for something specific it doesn't hurt to ask her as she might have it

Whats the legality on a mounted gun like that? Could you legally shoot it, or would it be considered firing from a vehicle?

Shooting a machine gun thats mounted to a jeep would make a great bucket list item - if its actually doable in this country....
