Leupold VX II 3-9x33 EFR

I hope that once shot show opens there may be some news of a replacement, I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Looks like the new VX-Freedom will replace the old vx2s. Should be in store by Feb in murica

Ewwww,

That looks like a Leupold with a Burris E1 turret and a Bushnell banner power ring.....

First the “American Marksman” now the “Freedom” series, gimme a break......do people actually buy things like scopes based on the level of perceived Patriotism?

If the dimensions for the "Freedom series" are correct, this is the end of the smaller eye piece diameter that made the Leupold Rimfire line so appealing to Cz rimfire owners. They were prety much the only scopes that you could mount low and not interfere with the bolt handle. I guess they will still make the fixed 4x28.

Darnit, finally picked up a nice lightweight .22 (455 Stainless/Walnut) and before I even paid for the thing, for the first time in my life I knew exactly what optic was going to sit on top. Well, one of two, either the 2-7 or 3-9 vx-2 EFR.

Checked a few different websites, quickly realized they were discontinuing the vx-1 and vx-2 line. Bummer, guess I'll wait for announcements of the replacement during SHOTshow.

No replacement with an AO. :bsFlag:ovrec

Any recommendations from fellow 'nutz as to what might fit the bill?

Go to rimfire forum in the states. If it can go on a Cz they have done it,great to get the right sized rings and scope the first time.

They come up on the EE from time to time.

When there is a new gun sitting in my safe and optics are required as there are no irons to use, then I'm an impatient man!

Prophet River came through for me, ordered the last VX-2 with AO I could find anywhere, a 4-12x40. A smidge bigger than I had envisioned for this 455, but I think it'll work nicely.

That sounds like a good optic. Enjoy!!

We still have a very few VX2's in 6-18x40mm with the AO

We are sold out of this model as well (3-9x 33 EFR) and I kicked my butt for not buying more before they were all gone. Luckily today I found one in my bin of used scopes and put it on Dianne's TacSol 10-22 as it is a prefect match to the light weight and accuracy of the gun and looks great (red gun/ black scope). Phil.

Nice find Phil. I did the same thing, sold out before I managed to save one for myself. :(

They are overrated. I owned one for a short while.I wound up trading it for an elite. I replaced it with a Weaver r9. It was around $200 cheaper and clearer glass etc.
