Anybody have an opinion on cerecoting verses anodizing.
CeraKote is a very durable "applied" finish but comes no where close to the surface hardness imparted by properly done anodizing. Anodizing actually alters the surface and penetrates the substrate, CeraKote is only a surface covering, like paint. Anodizing should not alter dimensions, CeraKote adds acouple of thou to the dimension of any surface it is applied to.
CeraKote is nice for hiding tooling marks and other minor imperfections in the surfaces, anodizing will make tool marks and surface imperfections much more noticeable.
