375 Ruger vs 378 weatherby is it worth the extra $$$

if you want weatherby performance at a little cheaper price the the 375 ultra is a good choice if one can handle the recoil . I have shot antelope to elk with my .375 H&H and even gophers with cast round balls and pistol powder is a cheap and fun plinker . I have even owned a .500jefferies but find that a .375 H&H is all the recoil I want to handle

Well I appreciate all the info folks but I decided to buy another 375 Ruger in the guide gun at least I can remove the brake .

Good choice. I always thought that was a well designed working rifle for moose hunting here in Canada.Topped with 1.5-5 and you'll be GTG.

They need to offer it in 35Whelen as well.

All this talk of Weatherby's. Darn it c-fbmi! ;)

Love at first sight! Look at the stock on this thing! Epps has a used one in 416 WBY in excellent condition for 5 grand (new 7 grand US).

I'm curious about this mentality............another apparent stigma, but why?

A lot of very nice walnut was ruined on those ugly California style stocks.

Country club rifles of yesterday are of little interest and would never chamber a rifle in one anyway.
