You guys ready to hand over your ARs to the liberals?

That is your option. You do know that prohibited rifles in canada are safe Queens anyways?, if your AR goes prohibited you will never legally be able to transport it somewhere and use it.

I understand what you are saying! As mentioned before this is a very popular rifle as we all know......I just really think that current AR only owners will get a designated 12x on thier PAL and we will still be able to use them just as 12.6 pistol owners can

No 12.x rifles are legally allowed to be transported to shoot, only 12.6 pistols

I don't care wtf has been said before this is a NEW bill.....it's as simple as this.....they will be issuing a new 12x for ar15 owners just as they did when they made the 12.6 crap on licences......all you guys just think it's gonna be the same way as the last gun grab ......

Not sure if I am mis-reading your post but.......Having lived it, suffered it and lost legally purchased personal possessions over it the last grab was not just licensing: we did have confiscation without compensation. To think it will just be new licensing "like last time" means you have selective memory, are ignorant of what actually transpired or naïve of what they can actually do (or a combination of it all??).

On top of that don't forget that the licensing of the prohib long guns meant you could keep them but never again use them which is only a baby step up from total confiscation. Couple this with the fact that the OIC #13 guns along with some of the prohib pistols can never be left to your family and must be surrendered for destruction on your passing.

Yeah it was a real win-win last time......

Wishfull thinking, prohibiting the AR to a new 12.x class would just be a way to get out of paying compensation. You can't get an att for prohibited rifle to go shooting.

If you could, every prohibited rifle could then be used again, although where?, i am not sure, not many ranges certified for prohibs

What has been done in the past does not bind the government in the future. If the liberals are re-writing the law, they can certainly rewrite it say 12.8 prohibited ARs can be transported to ranges and used.

Ironheart, on that point it is incredibly optimistic that the liberals would prohibit something and then let people keep using them as they did before. Otherwise they get the bad press for making an unpopular decision, and none of the good press for actually doing something worth while.

You are correct it doesn't, but you already touched on the optics being extremely bad if they did.

How would they certify ranges for one prohibited rifle and not all of them?

I know I wouldn't be happy if only my new prohibs could go to the range while old ones are still safe Queens.... It would divide gun owners even further, but maybe that is the intent?

They're way ahead of you. My MP dropped by the house this morning to inform me that the Libs are considering new legislation that will make it unlawful to disagree or show dissatisfaction with anything else they do.

That way we'll all be happy.

Those special guys...you know who you are...can feel free to start a dozen or so threads on this new development.

You guys are aware the RCMP and the libs are browsing this very thread right now, right?

Don't incriminate yourself, they WILL use your posts against you.

THey don't need to certify them for one and not the others. They don't need to do anything. Individual range operators can apply to the CFO to have prohibited added to their range approval, and CFOs may agree or not approve it. They could refuse, and the liberals wouldn't even get the blame for it. Even if it were approved for all prohibs, you still can't get an ATT to take your other 12.X rifles to go to the range. Now if you LIVED on the range, you wouldn't need an ATT... But lets not let this thread get derailed debating the details of what that would actually entail...

They would have allow one and not the other or people with legally owned full auto prohibs will be able to use them again.

The liberals are not as incompetent as you think to just open Pandoras box for us old guys
