You're delusional, There will be no grandfathering and there will be no new 12. classification for people that own one. If they change it to prohib they will come to get it if you don't turn it in within their time deadline. They know exactly what you own for restricted firearms and non compliance will simply mean they will take the rest of you firearms as well as your PAL.

Why would they bother doing anything if they're just going to grandfather us all and allow us to keep and shoot them? That makes no sense at all. We're already only allowed to shoot them at a certified range so the goal will be to take them away, not just annoy us even more.
I personally don't want a 12. whatever license, I like using my firearms not looking at them sit in a safe worth zero dollars since no one else wants to buy a rifle they can't shoot.

We need to band together and fight as a united front.
Has anyone talked to someone from CSSA or one of the other gun orgs? What are they going to do to help us? If they would give a commitment to fighting this I would gladly join up again. I quit supporting them when all they seemed to be doing was fighting internally and doing nothing to help us.

The gun orgs wont do a ####ing thing as per SOP. Maybe fly to Ottawa with members money for another lunch date or something. They are not effective. They never have been. PAL holders recruiting PAL holders is the only thing that could have grown our numbers, represented more votes and/or resulted maybe in more people voting CPC last election. It's a little late now. We missed that boat.

You can always count on the Liberal bastards for two things: 1. They will destroy the economy and take your money and 2. They will always hand over any dirty work to "experts" at Federal level so they can always defer blame if they need to down the road.
Anyone surprised by this going down now is an idiot. There should not be a single surprised gun owner in this country right now. They are handing over parliament and Democratic order entirely to a federal police force. If this goes down it's a far more terrifying prospect in general than the decimation of our gun lockers. It's literally a federal party defering the process of democracy at its core, bypassing it and handing judge, jury and executioner over to a law enforcement agency.

What in the actual #### is going on in this country right now?!
This is going to get real ugly very very fast. 2019 election and getting more people on board the PAL train is the next battle, wake the #### up all of us and start sharpening your bayonnets now.

I think the current regime is seriously underestimating just how strained most Canadians already are right now.

The debt level, the schizophrenic leadership, the employment situation, the rising cost of gas and everything else, the yet to be known effects of this mass media streaming phenomenomenomenom (to be clear, I don't think it will be the gun owners that will escalate anything. Imo, we are going to be watching this country go full-Venezuela, around us)



If Canadian gun owners had the sense that God gave a goose, they should be able to unite over this lastest round of progressive insanity.
 
If it's any consolation, once those evil assault rifles are in the hands of the RCMP, they will become nice wholesome patrol carbines, so they won't have to be destroyed after all.

Indeed, patrol carbines that can be lost and stolen from police cars with near impunity, because there is nothing wrong with a criminal stealing a carbine from the trunk of a police car cause police don't need ATTs anyways. If that didn't make any sense ask a Liberal to explain it for you.
