Bill c-71

This isn't the Canada i grew up in, this is some kind of Fabian socialist nightmare on a rocket sled to hell.

These politicians are nothing but minions of the globalist elite bankers who rule over everyone.

They don't serve us, they serve their masters.

All they do is take from us, start adding up all the taxes we pay, it's criminal.

All they will do is continue to take from us until there is nothing left to take but our lives.

Then what?

Genocide has always followed gun confiscation where ever it has occurred on the planet.

Why would it be any different this time around?

It won't!

ya it is typical political BS.. but I wouldn't be expecting a genocide here anytime soon.. Ya gotta lay off the InfoWars bud lol

Not sure if it will do any good, but actually called my Member of Parliments (Robert Sopuck) office today. I have yet in my adult life felt the need to do so over an issue before but felt I might as well try. I just feel this announcement is a knee jerk reaction to things happening in a different country that really is not a problem in Canada, but also know the liberals are making good on elections promises by doing this. As many have stated I see nothing in this bill that even comes close to even addressing the issue of criminal gun violence. All this bill does is punish law abiding firearms owner. What’s wrong with the current laws on the books? I could go on and on I’m sure many of us could, but it feel like we would all just be talking to a Brick wall. its just sad and not needed.

I'm worried about all the un secured books with our home addresses in it when we buy a gun.

No wonder gun thefts are up!

deal with the Gangs...

That’s actaully a good point. And I live in the country and it’s getting to be a big problem in some areas with theafts of all kinds in general Over the last few years. Not far from where I live on a back road a note book was found with peoples yard sites mapped out what’s In the yards. Apparently in the book of notes was rough times people were away from their farms or houses. But criminals in many cases now are far more organized if they want to be. But no it’s better to go after law abiding firearms owners and punish us instead of putting more effort An resources into actually going after the criminals!!

I can't tell you how many times I have seen the Ontario Ammunition Registry logs left insecure and lying around, just begging to have a page ripped out with 20 local firearms owners with addresses listed. I scream at managers every time I see it and they usually cant figure out what the problem is. I can't believe how naive and trusting some people are.

And then immediately crash because you can't shoot them, the number of potential buyers is fixed and they all already have one, so there's no incentive for them to have more paper weights unless they're just trying to catch 'em all.

That will be me. Gotta catch 'em all!

I don't like being recorded either but if they are going to do it it should be on an encrypted computer not connected to the internet and not on paper. That said a book is more of a pain in the ass for the feds but keep in in the back in a safe.

Two things that should I consider to be the most important and I think everyone should be very concerned about:

1) The re-instituting of the LGR. It's like the Libs saying they will never bring in the NEP, but then bring in "equilization payments". Same pile of crap, just labelled differently. There is no difference between the LGR and the what's proposed in this bill in its current form. Another lib platform promise up in smoke;

2) The requirement of each firearm to have a UN identification number. Why the hell would any citizen of any country want an un-elected, foreign agency to have input, discretionary authority or any other information about citizens of a sovereign country? Don't think that that information won't be shared with the UN in some form, think again. Maybe not immediately, but at some point. No doubt that this is the first step in a litany of steps that will proceed into future generations. First, it will be a UN Identification Number, then it will be a UN ID processing fee. No doubt, at some point, the UN will have discretionary authority over gun laws of "member countries". Watch and wait.

I heard of the liberals lusting desire to have a "Central Firearms Registry" nationwide back in the mid 90's. Their ultimate goal is to have you house your firearms in a central vault and have to sign them out to take them hunting, target shooting, etc. I have no doubt its true. There is no moral or logical justification for this Act and its the first step of many to simply disarm law abiding Canadians while giving the illusion of getting tough on crime. Think beyond this act and the motives for it. I trust most of you will come to a similar conclusion - this is a long con by the libs.

and how the hell do you figure it's a backdoor LGR,,,they ask,NO information of the firearm sold>so how the hell is that a registry, and you know how many guys will simply sell as usual by just seeing the buyer's PAL..are they going to send ALL license holders new details of this law, everyone i know pretty tells them to go pound sand,it will be buisness as usuall, what i find odd is the wording, the the seller MAY ask for a reference number to transfer a NR firearm,NOt,.MUST, or SHALL,,or WILL ask for a reference number,to me,,"MAY" implies my choice,

Well looks.like J.R. Cox , the owner of the shooting edge in Calgary, will be firearms community enemy number one again, he's the one that instigated this whole SAN review by the RCMP many years ago because he couldn't shut his pie hole. Long story to explain here but those interested can go digging and find the truth.

Sad really.

Exactly. He is on my "boycott" list for a long time. Now we should deal with I***ts who were writing the RCMP letter for years to verify grey areas of BX magazines. Is it so hard to live with grey areas??????????

This bill has just been introduced. What is the likelyness that this passes.

Also, and sorry for the newbie question, what's the difference between the cz 858 and the vz.58? Both seem the same to me but yet one is going to be prohibited and the other remains restricted.

With our ####ty elected dictatorship Westminster parliamentary system and a liberal majority, very likely.
