These list with a 10.5" but when I put it next to my NEA 10.5" CQB it is shorter. Is there a more accurate measurement for the barrel? My NEA also has a DD MK18 RIS rail on it and if I were to try to put the Colt barrel into a flat top upper the barrel wouldn't reach the end of the hand guard. I believe the MK18 is a 10.3" barrel.

The barrel length is 10". I assume the flash hider makes up the additional. This is how the uppers have been marketed by Colt Canada and as such, that's what how they are listed.

I would have a whole rack of CC if I could. When i see Colt Canada i will skimp and save anywhere i can to add it to my collection. I wish prices were a bit better but the industry i work in has taught me, it is what it is. i don't know if i want to grab a complete CC lower or a stripped for my build. Right now it's on a Spikes Jack.

Thicker barrel. More build for substained fire. The SAS have a battery of test the rifle must go through before they buy them. The other big factor is accuracy.
