So I ordered Three barrels, bolt heads in 5.56 nato. twolight and one heavy barrels but all three have different gas adjusters on them. All are in 1 in 9 twist. I just find it weird they keep changing things up.

My old keymod xcr came in at about 7lb 2oz naked and I believe the comp length is about 7lb 8oz. It does feel a slight bit heavier.

Personally I've never understood all the "weight snobs" out there. The average person that thinks an extra half pound is going to lose the 3gun match for them is sadly mistaken.

I currently have zero interest in reloading. If I can find something off the shelf that will shoot 1 minute for the 3% of the time I'll need it, I'll be more than happy.

I've tested quite a bit of factory ammo.
In two different XCRs,HB,keymod.

Hornady vmax 53g superformance,were the only thing I could shoot , MOA ish.
In both rifles.

Are there the wider rail covers like the magpul ones for the keymod upper? Or do you have to use a keymod Picatinny rail first then apply the rail covers?

I just ordered a new XCR-L with the comp upper / type 3 gas block - let's hope the gov't shutdown doesn't impact the import process too badly...

Same question here where to get the ACR stock?

Lucky Irishman Firearms on Facebook (he doesn't have a website, or didn't last time I bought from him) makes the adaptors and sells them complete with ACR stocks as well. Good guy to deal with. I have his adaptors on both of my ACRs.

Upgraded to a light barrel and replaced the fast stock, completely different gun now.

Have you tried the keymod or mlok versions? Shaving the quad rails off can be another huge improvement.

Never had the chance to shoot them but handle a keymod locally. I'm never going to use the side rails so I think my next step will be getting them milled off.

Anyone shoot the 6.5 Grendel yet? Does it use the same bolt as the 7.62x39?

Same bolt, yes. But RA says to swap to firing pin to the 5.56 firing pin. Has anyone done this? Anyone continue to use the 7.62x39 firing pin with their Grendel barrel without issues?

What did you replace it with? getting a little annoyed at the vertical wobble it has.

Just breaking mine in now with 762x39 bolt and pin with no problems and .556 mags gas set at 3 no prob.
