Fun Gun: FX-9 vs WK180-c, which to pre-order!

You and me both! Order has been placed for the FX-9, it fits better with my current line up, the wk180 will have to wait a year or so. Thanks guys, always nice to have your reasoning confirmed by others....now I just have to wait until July/August to play with it! Ouch!

I have been told that a pre-order 180 will not be shipped until September of this year. As I have put a $200 deposit on this rifle. If I want to back out due to the delay. I will lose $50. Make sure you don't mind wait.
That actually isn't such a bad thing for me. My wife is a teacher and the last thing I need is to have the gun delivered during the summer when she's home to receive it. A lot easier if it shows up in September and goes straight into the safe. It's the one good thing about these stupid storage laws....at least my wife doesn't see the inventory growing!
Why does she care what you spend your allowance on?
These are two very different rifles in my mind. The fx9 will be my 3gun practice stand in when I can't get to the range/general plinker on pop cans and stuff. The 180 will be a working rifle, ride along in the tractor / combine and truck for cyotes maybe gophers and the like.
I went with the fx9, next year will be RDB... if i can find one but who knows, i may change my mind.
There was a guy who did accuracy testing at 100yds and got slightly better result than LBS. For 50yds and under its the rifle to get. Also 9mm is cheaper which means more trigger time. Its also less loud which is good for the neighbors.
Which ever way you go its going to be a good time

Fx-9 wont do much for you at 400yards. But the wk180c probably wont be crazy good accuracy wise either. Im getting the fx-9 as I enjoy 9mm carbines, and want it as close to an AR as possible. This strikes both those boxes.

Gotta say... not really impressed with the accuracy on a few videos I watched. Even with them shooting match grade ammo. 3" groups at 50 yards constantly with three different people shooting from the bench. The JR can do much better with just Blazer ammo

Never seen or heard of an 18.6 inch 9mm AR barrel. They are probably custom built by/for the manufacturer.
I don't think they've said specifically what barrels are compatible. Probably not really something you need to worry about, it's not like anyone makes "match grade" 9mm barrels since it's not a precision round.
Maybe you have other reasons for wanting to change it but I don't see much point on a rifle like this. Spend the money on ammo instead of trying to upgrade it, the costs will far outweigh the performance gained.
Well, hopefully they use an AR barrel extension but even then you'll probably either have to order a replacement through the importer or have one custom made.
Considering the 9mm is a fairly low velocity cartridge and the barrel is nitrided (harder than chrome) I would guess you're going to have to run 40,000+ rounds through it before you notice any decrease in accuracy.
I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.
I'll be buying one as well, I'll race you to see who can wear it out first
