9mm Powder Recommendations... Let's Hear Them!

May not be useful to you but for my JR Carbine 9mm, I'm playing with Unique, 700X and Win571 (HS-7). The 700X is showing the best promise with my lee cast and PC bullets.

I use titegroup for bulk loading. It's very cheap and works as well as most else for high volume.

VV N320 - man I was happy when I tried that as my first powder. Double charge fills the case - very easy to notice, and it happened to me a few times. Titegroup doublecharge I would not have even noticed it, the difference is so small. Now when I learned the ropes of reloading on a progressive I will use up the 2 lbs of titegroup I have and will only use. VV n320.
The first time I saw a doublecharge I went and bought the powder charge alarm

I highly recommend VV N320. Works very well wity campri 124 and 142 gr bullets

I still have 1.75 lbs of N320. I could not get it to work as good as Unique and CFE.

HP 38 is cheaper then win 231 name. First choice, or tightgroup cause it is everywhere and cheap and and available for other calbers.

I have also used it in 30wcf with cast. Works pretty good and 800fps is pretty fun.

I picked up a 4lb jug of N340 for cheap a couple years back. It was very nice stuff. Consistent and clean.

I've used Unique, Bullseye, 700X and TiteGroup. 700x was just frustrating because it does not meter well in my Hornady LNL AP. I'm strictly on TG right now and haven't looked back since Unique and Bullseye was next to impossible to find a little while back. I bought a bottle of CFEPistol but haven't cracked the seal on it as yet. Might make up some test loads...

Never had an issue making PF using w231.

Really...I need to calculate better then as all info I have shows over published load max with 231 and 124gr to hit 125 PF. Thanks for the post.

I have had no problems with 700x in my Dillon 650's powder measure. Burns clean enough. 4.4 grains with a 124 grain CamPro = minor PF easily.

If you can't find "pistol powder" - as was the case a few years ago - there are some loads that work well using Blue Dot. Crimp becomes very important with Blue Dot - tighter than you normally crimp works better.
