Shouldn't he find out if the rifle works normally with the stock trigger? The BCL 102 does use a firing pin with a spring as it's an AR10. Is this a faulty rifle, or use of a part that just doesn't work with this rifle?
I also think he should test it out in its OEM configuration, much easier to diagnose (and blame) if something isn't working in stock config.
I had an geissele SSA for my 102, but resisted the urge to install it... wanted to try the rifle out in OEM config first... but boy, was it ever hard to have the trigger RIGHT THERE and not install it!
