Red loctite on this bolt for non-restricted compliance.

That is truly a cool creation. For some reason it reminds me of a smaller version of an M-79 grenade launcher. These are the kinds of things I think about building in my head, I just never seem to have the time (or maybe talent) to make them happen.

That's a class looking piece of kit.

It really would make a nice, portable little Baghdad Lockpick/Master Key. Something you could carry in your pack as a secondary without adding a pile of weight. But give you the advantages of the wide range of ammo you can fire out of a 12 gauge.

Hmmm.... Now I'm eyballing my single shots...

Awesome, I love it!

What’s the oal at its shortest length?

Thanks man. It's about 26.25" fully collapsed, and about 26.5" at the nearest lock point.

Thanks! Yeah I kinda make that association to a grenade launcher too....might be part of the appeal for me.

Thanks for the comments play.soccer and hollowedpoint.

Looks cool :d I'm more of a pump guy myself but it's been fun reading this thread and nice to see you finished it off.

With my grizzly I always run into the metal block of "I want this sort-of expensive accessory or what not for it...but it's a cheap gun, I shouldn't spend too much on stuff for it." This build has convinced me that I should be spending more on my grizzly haha

It looks awesome man. I'd run it. Too bad it doesn't have an ejector.

Ever since the start of this thread and hearing the term Baghdad lockpick, I've been laughing about it when I randomly remember it while driving.

Imagining soldiers running around the sand pit with your creation slung across their back while having an AR as a primary gun. Transition to the lockpick. BOOM !! Through the door and kicking A$$

A pump would give you a few follow up rounds but for 5.36 pounds and the ability to fold its cool man

Just shot an 8.5" grizzly for the first time this weekend. Man those things are heavy, I'll keep my 14" Mossberg with 5+1

Thanks for the comments!

In regards to the ejector vs extractor, I might have come up with a relatively quick reload technique in the few minutes I was playing with dummy shells last night. Sequence goes: 1) open action 2) #### hammer as weak hand goes to grab from shell carrier 3) after barrel swings down, catch it against leg/body and push grip down/forward to invert the chamber letting empty hull drop out 4)insert new shell and close action.

Not sure how well that works with an empty shell vs my dummy shells (using gravity to remove the empty shell). Also it technically involves pointing muzzle behind you, even though it's not capable of firing.

Thanks for comments boxhitch, Trinimon, and OldDirty.

Might work with high brass shells, I suspect there will be too much friction on the cheap target loads.

If you find the barrel nut breaks loose of the JB weld you could drill and tap a set screw or two through it and grind a small dimple into the barrel for them to sit in, hopefully the JB holds up to the recoil.

Nice work!
The trigger guard/action release and the adapter's angles complement nicely.
It looks like an angled foreend might fit and still allow full folding.
