what does a 6.5 creedmore do that a 6.5 x 55 doesn't?

I assume ypure attempting to kid when you say that the creedmore has a better rifle selection than the Swede. In terms of hunting rifles, there are literal millions of 6.5 swedes out there, and thousands of creedmoor.

Just go to your local gun shop and count them. Get back to me with the results. Who cares many mausers were pumped out 80 years ago.

You are hilarious. Call any company that makes rifles, ammo, or reloading equipment and ask them what the best selling .264 cartridge is. I bet they don’t tell you 6.5x55 lol.

Just to hit this one more time because you don’t seem to get it. The differences are not trivial, one is better. And that’s why it’s more popular. If you want to shoot game at 300 yards and in and handload, it makes no difference. But there is more to the shooting world than that.

Want a semi auto? Creedmoor
Want a rifle that fits in chassis systems and takes standard AICS mags? Creedmoor
Better rifle selection? Creedmoor
Better ammo selection? Creedmoor

I have thousands of rounds through both, the Creedmoor is better because it fits in a short action. Period. More versatile and can to used in a host of actions and designs that the swed cannot. Check out any Fclass or PRS leagues. Everyone is using 6 and 6.5 CM for a reason. If the 6.5x55 had a competitive edge, people would use that.

There are 750 million people in Europe you seem to be forgetting.
Twice the population of the US.
And for this "requirement"...they do make long actions that meet all those AICS/Chassis tacticool crap, I have zero interest in that lol.
If I did, my answer would be 308 to all the following.

Hell Barrett even chambers their Fieldcraft in 6.5x55. BARRETT.
Everyone that makes rifles still makes, or previously made rifles in 6.5x55.
The history of hunting and target shooting did not start 10 years ago son!

Better question is what does a 6.5 CM do that a .260 Rem cannot....

At ANY range the the 260 is as equal or better than the the CM?

It definitely has a cooler name for sure....

It definitely was GREAT marketing for sure.

Refer to post 115. Read it twice if you must.

I don’t live in Europe. Why would I care what’s on European shelves. A conversation about anything other than or domestic market is academic at best. And chassis systems that use AICs mags are not “tacticool crap” . That’s what the modern precision rifle looks like. That’s why people that shoot thousands of rounds a year use them. Because they work well and are modular/adaptable.

As for your response that “your answer would be .308”, that just further demonstrates your lack of experience on this topic. That’s why shooting events have separate classes for 308 shooters. Because they would get smoked trying to stack up against a 6mm or 6.5mm.

All of which has exactly zero merit to the hunting rifle user.
I am sure many of us here care about mausers pumped out decades ago and many of us have safes full of them that won't be traded in for the newest plastic toy.

I’ve already personally said 3x in this thread that for the act of hunting it makes no difference. Try reading the thread before posting. It’s probably been said a total of 10-15x by various people. That’s clearly not the point I was trying to make.

Anything European.... Mauser, Merkel, Sako, Tikka, Sauer, Verney, Zastava, CZ, Schultz & Larsen, Sabbati, Bergara, Walther, Anschutz, etc... every gun maker in Europe makes something in 6.5x55, it's a looong list.
North America...Ruger, Cooper, Remington, Winchester, Howa, just to name a couple, I'm sure there are more.
Used market BSA, HVA, Parker Hale, CG, Zoli, Voere, BRNO, Heym, Lakelander, Krico, Varberger, few million 38/96 spotters, and thousands of target CG63etc and S&L M69's.
Really, like where could I ever get one? I have an old BSA CF2 in 6.5x55 that cost me a whopping $450 and it shoots better then Chuck's 6.5CM custom...no offense to Chuck or his rifle I'm sure it will settle in.

Brass, I use Norma, $60/100 for 1F from Tradex.

Good to see it's far from dead then. Seriously though, rifles like the Ruger precision, Savage Stealth, Bergara B-14HMR, Tikka CTR etc are popular choices and do not come in that caliber. Can you buy ammo from Cabelas or every other store? I'm sure its available somewhere, how about reloading dies? I see some sets around but not nearly as much as 6.5CM.
Your rifle was close to falling off the table there it looks like.

No idea on factory ammo....don't buy the stuff, ever...I've seen it at SAIL, Cabela's would likely have it. Canadian Tires here have 303, 300 Savage, 260 Rem, and a host of common cartridges but no 6.5CM despite it's apparent popularity.
Everyone makes dies for 6.5x55, I have had Redding, Forster, Hornady, Lee, RCBS just to list a few...not hard to find components.

Wow some young dude are way of 6.5creedmore is a big marketing hype nothing news and the 6.5x55 is better than the creedmore if your limited in a class he dosent mean its the best like the echo cup or the miata cup
Those are limited serie like the f class is you can use L/A in f class im sure the 6.5x55 or the .260 will destroy the 6.5creedhype

Some people like to have options to shoot factory loads. Cabelas online has no ammo for it but they certainly could have some in store. I had a peek on xreload, some stuff there.
