Hearing these scum bags talk about identity politics makes me want to puke.
"What should we do about indigenous women feeling threatened by firearms in the home?" Get bent!

Not deaf ears incompetence. The questions I heard are pre-work to consideration of drafting a bill. After listening to the committee collective questions and comments it doesn't appear they can connect anything relevant to making anything safer to C71. At least they listened to the lady from the first nations who responded reasonably.

It's unbelievable the feds pass a "feel good bill" as a campaign promise for the anti-gun lobby then the committee asks questions related to social issues unrelated to legal firearm ownership and still "seem" to think C71 will do a single thing to effect gang violence or any other serious gun related crime. They're going to try put lipstick on this pig of a bill until it's passed then when nothing improves related to the gang violence and other non-related issues create more bills similar to this one.

Great job to everyone that represented us today. I was disappointed that many of the questions were simple questions about the firearms act that these officials should have been familiar with before drafting legislation, let alone going to a committee meeting like this. They wasted a lot of time. Many questions asked were also good questions, and I felt that the overall atmosphere was positive. That being said, I was still disappointed in the amount of ground covered.
