Hey guys,

I bought a receiver set and buying some components but need a hand with a few questions please:

1. Ejection Port Cover: what style is it? DPMS, Armalite, Armalite AR-10T?

2. Trigger/Hammer Pin: is it a standard AR15 length pin or something longer?

3. Buffer Tube Assembly: I think I read to run a mil-spec carbine buffer assembly I can use an AR15 style. Is this correct and can I use a AR15 buffer and spring as well or do I need a 308 spring/buffer?

4. LPK: I’ve read it takes a standard AR15 LPK with the exception of the proprietary parts. Is this correct?

Your help is appreciated!

I tried an AR15 tube and spring with a 308 buffer and it would stick. Now I don't know what the issue is so I went to brownells and bought a 308 specific tube spring buffer set. Wish I could help more but that's all I know so far. JP silent spring is crazy expensive or I would have just went that way.

Just tried a dry fit of a Pmag into my unpainted/bead blasted lower and its a very tight fit. Guess I'll have to find some metal mags for it.

Take it to the woods and shoot it. AR10's are so much fun to shoot,Once you put a few hundreds rounds thru it the paint will be the last of your worries. Heck Mines all scratched up from hunting now :)

Anyone try a gen 1 upper on a gen 2 lower. Mine won't work...Can't pull the bolt back unless I reef it hard then it sticks open, seems to be something with bolt catch, cmmg parts kit and bcl proprietary parts. Gen 1 upper is Brownells bcg and faxon bbl with bcl dust cover. Gen 2 Lower is cmmg 308 lpk with bcl proprietary parts as needed

Cheers

I'd hate to see you hunt with a blued steel and walnut rifle.

I believe they call that battleworn these days, worth more money now. Hunting with my modern Hunter was a blast but the scratches were more painful on a 6k$ gun. On a 102 I feel like it would be much easier to swallow.

Some of us have more than 6K tied up in our 102's :)

Per rifle? Because I spec'ed out my build with about the most expensive everything and am having trouble breaking 5k before accessories/optics, and I know I am being way more spendy in some areas than you were, like the barrel and handguard for example...

Slap a tangent theta scope on there and watch that number rise

Wow...you guys got to much money. ...lol

I just installed a Geisselle SSA-E into my factory FDE 102 and all I can say is holy shyt, what a difference! !!
