What can your 6.5 creedmore do that my .260 can't?

Yep, after shooting a bit of thin skinned gamed in the lungs its pretty easy to become complacent. Or over confident. Not sure what the right word is.

Do we have thick skin game around here?

Although funny you should mention that. I have two different friends that shot Cape Buffalo with smaller cartridges after experiencing mechanical failure of a bigger rifle. One was a 300 Win Mag and that one was filmed and is commercially available, the other a 7x57 and that story appears in a commercial publication. Neither bull went anywhere. Neither was shot on the head.

280 AI, no tracking.

I went to a 260 Rem as that is the rifle I got a good deal on (Rem 7 carbine SS 20" brl) and I reload. Had a few things done at Corlanes (slabbed receiver, skeletonized bolt handle, fluted bolt +lightly beaded all afterward), stuck it in a B+C stock + fitted with Talley rings and a V2 Ultralight 3x9x33. 129gr AB LRs 2920 fps .25@100, 142gr AB LRs 2880 fps .34@100. Good enough for me and if you can do your thing....you can shoot long-range...

reloading = really no difference/factory gives you more target ammo selection for 6.5 CM however.

NICE rifle ! EXCEPT why have you still got that POS J LOCK bolt firing pin thing ? LOL RJ

Not really. Maybe a bison which I have never shot.

The rest of your story sounds conjectured from a video rather than first hand experience so I wont bother with it. Seems to be your thing.

It’s not conjecture at all. This friend died of brain cancer or I’d have him tell you himself.

I’m likely hunting Mule Deer this fall anyway. Anymore I pack my Forbes 30-06 just simply because it weighs so much less than everything else. That Creedmoor is my coyote rifle. But if I find a big Mule Deer that is a bit tough to get close to the Creedmoor will be coming along.

Sounds like fun. This guy tried running away when cornered in a coulee. Had to shoot him straight away. Not ideal. But that's the reason to carry a bigger stick than you really need imo.

I’m far from an expert, but I do know:

The CM affords more magazine space for high bc bullets
Has better selection of components
Has a better selection of rifles
Better selection of factory ammo
A case design that has some proven merit when it comes to case life or case prep

Your name calling and personal character attacks cannot change that. I’m sorry if that upsets you. I’m sorry I didn’t have to kill anything to know that. But it doesn’t change the fact that the 260 offers nothing appreciably better. That it plays second fiddle to this marketing fluke. You don’t have to sell your 260. You can still hunt with it. It will be okay.
Offer's more magazine space?
The 6.5CM truly is magical when it can magically lengthen the magazine box in any rifle you put it in! Amazing fact Chucky.

And for the brass stretch/case design, here's separating on the 4th reload.

At the bottom shows how many times a 308 could be FL sized at max before fail, worst was 11, best was 24.
