I purchased a Vanguard S2 from a fellow gunnut several months ago.
I had been looking for a quarter bore, and this 257 Bee caught my eye.
Initial tests seemed to indicate it wanted to shoot, but I have not had
a lot of time to fool with it up to now.
So I acquired a bunch of new brass, and did some loading for accuracy and velocity.
I tried the 110 Accubond, since it seemed like a good candidate for the Bee.
I also moved bullet forward a considerable amount, since the throat is long.
I now have 2 loads that are superb. 70 Grains of RL 25 behind that 110 AB
yielded groups right around .6" at 100 meters.
70 grains of IMR 7977 did even better, with one group at .26" and one at .38"
I do believe I will take this deer hunting this fall. Chronograph results to come
later. Dave.
