support for eddie Maurice's self defense case Please read...

I'm still curious about the details of the forensics investigation. Did they recover the spent round? If they did, how is it that it took four months for the 'experts' to determine that the bullet ricocheted off of something before striking the burglar in the arm?

I'm guessing that a visual examination of the bullet wound to the arm and of the round itself would give one an immediate reasonable idea of what actually might have happened...

This case , this thread and this FundRazr campaign has been a real eye-opener for me.
TBH though, I'm however more than a little ashamed of "the community". Over two million gun owners in this country and the best that we could do (after several months) was a little over forty grand?

Of course I am now very happy for the Maurice family but let's remember that we were originally told that the trial could go on for more than a year. With only forty grand in a defense fund Eddie could have been royally, financially screwed for many years to come.

I would have thought that the contributions would have been ten times what they were. We really should have done better. If every Canadian gun owner had donated just fifty cents we could have put the Crown prosecutor on this case in jail right now... :(

Yes, we must keep the ball rolling on this!

The Crown backed-down on Eddie Maurice because they knew that they wouldn't get a conviction with an Alberta jury. What saved Eddie's butt was the high profile public support shown by Albertans. It was that level of public support by justice minded citizens that caused the Crown to fold and call it a day.

Peter Khill does not have that same level of public support and he is dealing with a murder charge. It will be a much tougher charge to beat even though Khill shot the truck thief only after he perceived that he himself was in mortal danger.

Pete Khill needs our help, arguably more-so than Eddie Maurice did. Let's start by getting the word out and donating if you can...

UPDATE: FYI We're getting down to the wire here guys reference the Peter Khill trial. Final arguments are this Monday (25 June). Jury deliberations set to begin on Tuesday. I can't see Khill coming out of this one unscathed. He didn't have the financial nor the public support that Eddie Maurice had. I'm still hoping for the best though...

What have he NFA or the CCFR have to do with anything? Neither of them (when asked) would endorse the Maurice FundRazr campaign. They didn't support us on this, why should we support them???

Just over 40 grand was raised for the Eddie Maurice defense and the Pete Khill 'GoFundMe' fund is currently just under 10 grand. As a comparison, the GoFundMe campaign for the Humboldt Broncos tragedy raised over 3 million dollars in like three or four days.

Considering that there are over 2 million gun owners in this country IMO we really dropped the ball when we had a golden opportunity to "terrify the elite"...
