what does a 6.5 creedmore do that a 6.5 x 55 doesn't?

Have I travelled through time? This seems eerily similar to the 300 WSM VS 300 Win mag debate of 16 years ago. Too bad we lost all that in the crash. It would come in handy now.

Not bad for a Creedmoor

What does it do that the 6.5 x 55 doesn't do, or what does it do better ? I don't get it .

What it does is causes a bunch of fools to spend their hard earned cash on another calibre that will be obsolete in 5-10 years.

What it doesn't do is live on for another 100 years like 6.5x55 will :)

lol it's the same caliber as the 6.5x55 . The Creedmoor has firmly planted itself as one of the most popular cartridges on the market today. This won't change in the next ten years. Might as well jump on board and enjoy the benefits of this fine chambering

If you are going to correct him, you better send a scathing letter to Mossberg...

If 6.5x55 was widely available in modern actions there wouldn’t be a 6.5 creedmoor. Better yet gun makers chamber the modern guns in 6.5x55ai. Load the ai up to modern pressures and the original to standard.

once upon a time, in a far far away land...lol

Someday, because of the Creedmoor, there won't be a 6.5x55 following. You old boys are dyin off

You guys make me laugh.... just get both. If the CM goes obsolete, so what, that's what reloading presses are for :) . Truth be told, Ive had a couple 6x55 mausers for years, but I just put a deposit down on a 6.5CM from bullseye. Hoping it lives up to the hype....
