For those of you who have Netflix, a new movie came out July 6 called "The Legacy of a Whitetail Deer Hunter". The movie as about Buck (the hunter) bonding with his son, chasing down a 20-pointer and drinking some good-ol' American whiskey.

Once you're in the Netflix sphere, check out Meat Eater - great series about about hunting everything from duck to grizzly.

nice,

I watched a movie about hunting with my Daughter while on Vacation at Disney world. I think it was called Bambi...
in part 2 I think the hunter is going to get another Buck Tag instead of a Doe.

When you see your first whitetail deer,
it'll look cute and fluffy,
but you can't get into those feelings.
We can honor the deer,
but we can't love it.

-Buck Ferguson, The Legacy of a Whitetail Deer Hunter

You think a movie on hunting is going to drum up a good budget? If the vibe is pro-hunting, it is a great film... no matter how bad the plot and acting... (I have not seen it).
Maybe watch it, I thought it portrayed hunters as less than intelligent, racing quads, lots of liquor including giving it to a 12 year old, some photo #### and his character (Brolins) was very shallow. Mount Sweetness was correct.

I said "IF" it portrays hunting in a good light... if it doesn't I don't care if Anthony Hopkins is cast in the leading role.

You people actually watched this movie in it's entirety!? It was a heaping pile of ####! Terrible acting, terrible story and made hunters look retarded..

Netflix keeps pumping out this steaming trash I'll be going back to downloading everything via torrents.

i have netflick sessions at my buds house as i dont have it, i was all excited about the title, not so much your reviews lol.
il be watchin it tho hah a

Have not watched the movie yet, but i have watched all of the Netlfix Meateater stuff. I am a fan of Rinella. Usually I don't like watching hunting shows (typically I don't like to watch the things I like to do and vice versa). Meat eater is a great show to introduce non-hunters to hunting. His podcast (of the same name) is also good. Ip icked up his hunting books (2 volume set) but have not read them yet to have feedback.

Watched it tonight with wife and daughter. It’s billed as a dramedy folks and that is exactly what it was, no more and no less. I got a chuckle out of it and found it entertaining. Danny McBride was pretty damn funny.
