One has to wonder how all the rest of the people in the World shooting IPSC, do without the Black Badge course? It must be absolute mayhem!
You clearly missed my point

How about whole bunch of people with non-BB courses at that same World Shoot? Several places in Europe and Australia has them.
anyone have information on the breakdown for birdshot and slugs, bring lots doesn't cut it.
Squibload is a believer in the 7 P's.
Dodge,duck,dip,dive and dodge?
wait, no. that's the 5 D's.
I agree with you when I took BB I had already shot a multi gun match and been shooting practice nights for 3 months with our club and the BB was more on comprehending the rule book than anything else, which is a good thing in a sport like this. But imho showing up to a BB without some action shooting mentoring is a disaster waiting to happen and just because someone passed the course doesn't mean they should be playing with loaded fire arms.I think some people get hung up on the BB course's holster use aspect...
IMHO it's actually more of a class on how to shoot the game.
I can't imagine showing up to shoot an ipsc match without having been taught the rules.
IIRC my class was 80% how to play the game... the holster skills just happened by default through the drills we did.
HAHAHA!Dodge,duck,dip,dive and dodge?
wait, no. that's the 5 D's.
I always thought it was "Don't get drunk the night before a match"
I heard it makes the brain cloudy for the first two stages.
Holy cow dude. The match is six weeks away. If you know now or four days before the match what is the difference?
if the match organizers don't know what the shell type distribution is 5-6 weeks before the match, that is a problem. I am a firm believer in that if somone doesn't know the answer, one should ....
It's billed as 14 stages.. Without published round count I'd bring 250 bird, 25 slugs and 25 buckshot. I'd put only half of it into my range bag...
Knowing the layout if EESA I'd park my car mid stages so... Half way thru the day I'd be near my car to retrieve ammo if I think I need it.
Now that's useful advice.
I cant wait to see how many people show up to EESA now on Match day....LOL
Excellent advice indeed!
