The adjustment screw of the SLR gas block was exposed and Im pretty sure I would of broke it off at some point if I left it exposed. Especially the way I treat my rifles...lol...
Thanks. That's actually the same setup I have on the way with the 12" MI and the nitrated SLR gas block.
I can live with it out a bit. Was expecting it to be a bit closer though as the MI is supposed to be 12.5" and the gas block location on a rifle length is supposed to be 12". Oh well. I can live with it. I don't see myself breaking off the screw or damaging the gas block. Would be nice if the handguard wen up to the very back of the gas block though.
Might end up ordering another only in 15". Will see.

Got mine today.
Pictured with MI 15" key mod.
Overall happy with it. Fit and finish is good. I AM still keeping a bcl 102. Has a place in my cabinet. Sucks pricing on 102 receivers is so much more.
I'll post completed rifle tommorow. Will sport a faxon match fluted 6.5 cm and an Odin 17.5 inch hg

Trigger is quite a bit better then the 102. Good enough that I will not be changing it out right away.
Anodizing is perfect. Receivers have a very slight bit of slop but nothing major. Barrel nut doesn't thread on well. Feels like something is out of round, but I think it's the nut. Will see if the Odin nut threads on better.

You know there is a set screw under the lower to get rid of that slack right?
Love the layout! 
The 15" MI handguard fits like a glove. No more exposed Gas Block like my 12" one !
Now only If I could get my MVs and Stag10 sets that would be great
