I'm looking for a non-restricted 9mm carbine for under $2000 new, looking for suggestions. I've shot the CX4, but my beard was always getting caught in the spaces in the stock, which is very annoying . I'd look at it again if there was a way around that. I recently shot a JR carbine with the Glock mag adapter. That was a fun little gun. Any others worth looking at?

Thanks Nutz.

I had a PC4 in .40 years ago, fun gun but restricted.

They are the best 9mm rifles in my opinion
A non restricted is in the works and they will accept the Glock mags.
I have one of the newer takedown ones and love it. It’s the restricted one

I really like my JR in 9mm. I've shot the Berretta CX as well and it's nice too but I want something with glock mags. Lockhart is developing a Canadian made 9 mm carbine called the raven 9. I don't know it's status but I'll be looking at that one for sure.

I’ve got a sub2000 Gen two that folds up into a laptop case and is NR . Goes bang every time , glock mags same as my G34

I have the same beard problem with my CX4. It happens less than 50% of the time, but very frustrating when it does. Otherwise this gun is always with me when going to the range or bush for targets. I heard the Desantis mag holster solves the problem, but have yet to try it myself

CZ Scorpion EVO 3 Carbine with 18.5 inch barrel maybe.

If you can find one that has been NR'd with a 18.5 barrel, the Evo 3 is really nice. Very few things not to like for my use, the 5 round mags a minor bummer, stock trigger was heavy but an easy fix...it still gets the most range time of my PCC's, handles great and is very accurate for a 9. IRG made these ones with a 18.7" Douglas match barrel, hopefully they'll do another run.

Another vote for Thureon Defence. Built like a tank, NR, and they are shooters to boot. And they are available unlike some others.

Another vote for the Thureon Defense for the same reasons posted above. I think mine is indestructible. Not picky about ammo, chews up and spits out everything I have ever fed it. Only difference mine is in .40 S&W. I put an A2 stock on it and think it looks great. I'm not home now or I'd post a picture. Maybe later

My second vote would be for the Beretta CX4 it's just as reliable as the TD. I only sold it because I don't care for too much plastic and the trigger really blew. If I knew before I solid it there was a trigger fix available I may have kept it but as always, hindsight is never useful when you need it

Third vote would be for the JR Carbine. Only reason it didn't stick around was because takedown to do a full cleaning was an inconvenience to put it politely.
