Did remington ever chamber this?

Either of you guys wanna sell?

A 6.5 in a non Mauser action - That just isn't right.

I had one of the Remington 700 Classics in 6.5 X 55 and it went to Nfld. I kind of wish I kept it but I liked my other guns better ... I had to choose and the 6.5 had to go. Dam nice gun and it shot really well. The guy that now has it got a great gun and he knew what it was. I think it only had handling marks on it.

It's such a great round, I don't think it really matters what rifle it's in.Meh, I'd take my rem 700 Classic over a ####-on-close 96 any day of the week. A nice 98 is a whole nother ball o wax though....![]()
At one time, I had a Winchester M70 FWT, a 700 Classic in 6.5x55 and a Ruger 77 Mk II in the same chambering. The Winny was the first to go, since it was the least accurate of the three. Most Military Surplus Swedes would outshoot that gun. It was a looker, and felt nice in the hands, but 1¾moa group averages don't cut it for me in that chambering, particularly since my 700 averages about ¾moa with at least 5 different loads, some are even better! Regards, Eagleye.I still prefer the M70 FWT in 6.5x55
