Bill C-262 is just another nail in the coffin. Africa went through “decolonization” via armed conflict. We are going down the same path via legislation. And it will NEVER be enough for aboriginal people. Case in point, within 10 years of the Nisga treaty there have been papers written about how the initial payment of $196,000,000 was not enough, how the +2000 square kilometres is too small of a territory etc etc. There are also some aboriginal doctors who are doing research on “trans-generational trauma”- i.e. residential schools caused genetic alterations that have been passed down, thereby causing all sorts of problems. Translation- kids and grandkids and great grandchildren need compensation too!

That is the problem right there.. its never enough, it will be never enough until the Government at the time says, enough.
The ball is rolling and I don't believe it can be stopped.

This issue should have been dealt with in the fashion of a moratorium on claims, of all types. Announce a window of perhaps 3-5 years to settle once and for all and then its finished.
After all at this point its mostly ancient history so why does it get revisited ? Why,, because we are all saps and sheep and always give in to their nonsense and they get away with it
And yes,, this is racism at its finest, denying the same and equal rights to one particular race. My God,, its sickening.

No such place as Palestine. Beyond partition Egypt and Jordan took over the Arab parts of Israel before any independent government was formed. Only the Jewish parts of partition resisted invasion.
 
It's funny how the Natives want to " cherry-pick" certain clauses out of the Treaties...

For example:

In Treaty 5 there was a clause that stated..." Indians are not allowed in Taverns or Bars or Liquor stores or allowed to purchase liquor..."

The Government recinded that in the 60s?

I think that would be MAJOR bargaining chip?
 
Shocking we have any issues with caribou populations in the yukon , considering resident yukon hunters harvested only 115 caribou in 2017 and outfitters took another 118 ... Hmmm what's missing seems we need one more group to start submitting kill reports in order to probably manage a resource. And maybe one more issue,only 41 total wolves harvested in 2017
