Jeebus, you are manic... you have nonsense posts all over the place.

If you want to seriously vaporize ground squirrels... go with a bench rig in .22/250 like the M77 Varmint/Target, load up a bunch of 40 grain Varmint Grenades and have at it... if you don't reload, just use the Winchester White Box 40 pack HP's... they will explode stuff nicely.

He’s been here 8 days and posted the same thread three times plus the same greetings thread twice?!:confused::popCorn:

Best part is both greetings threads were already edited by a moderator! He’s off to a good start, nothing like reading the forum rules to get familiar with posting?! f:P:

I'm a huge fan of the 223 especially with a 1:7 twist rate and 69 grain Sierra match king bullets, they hit like a 308 on gophers. Guys use the 223 out to 1000 yards in F Class and I've never even seen anyone out there with a 22-250.

If you can find a Ruger Precision Rifle in 223.. it comes ready to rock with a 1:7 twist barrel and you can run longer than standard length hand loads if you want to run 80 grainers. The mag will feed rounds up to 2.6 inches long but the chamber is throated for 2.5 inches. You might utilize the full 2.6 inches after some throat erosion though. Standard SAMMI spec loads for 223 are only about 2.25 inches long.

I have an RPR in 223 and it shoots mostly about 1/2 inch groups at 100 meters.

Sure the 22-250 drives them harder but has shorter barrel life and the ammo is more expensive and has more recoil.

thanks for the info Maple 57....kind of what was looking for. I am Ruger fan in the pistols (Blackhawk and Silverhawk...not so much in rifles except 10-22) cant get past that control feed.

I’ve got a savage fcp-k in 223 that’s is very accurate. It’s and upgrade over the axis. It has an accustock and Accutrigger. I keep thinking of selling it but it shoots so well I don’t think I will ever sell it.
