mmmm... 220 swift... now there's a cartridge...
I like my Swift's... an M77 MKII Target and an M77 MKII Standard... both are very accurate and... well... swift.

what about 223 improved?
Do you reload?
with some research...and some were asking....
what do you think of this setup;
Stiller action, Bartlein Heavy Varmint 1:8″ twist barrel, Accuracy International AICS chassis, Jewel HVR trigger, Harris bipod, TRACT Optics TORIC 3-15-50mm scope.
What is the best out there without paying thousands...

Now you're into the thousands.
i know what i said....however off the shelf with a couple extea parts here there still does not achieve looney/twooney groups at 300y..so a smith is required for the machining and tweeking with Spectacular parts from the start
9m tweaking/machining

You have all the answers, why bother posting a thread with criteria???
There are quite a few OTC guns available that can achieve that without tweaking from a gunsmith. Usually the fault in being unable to achieve that lies with the shooter and possibly ammunition. Start with tweaking handloads.

I thought you said you did not want to spend "thousands"?
Does anyone know of a 223 or 22-250 to vaporize varmits? What is the best out there without paying thousands...no semis...no fulls (had my fill of these and they just are money wasters) just a simple action (short) push feed as opposed to control feed with or without optics. Open sight is ok as my vision is still ok.
any opnions????
Didn't want any semis or fulls either. He's BTDT.
You might want to take a look at the new Vortex Diamondback Tactical Riflescopes
There's a 6-24x50 and a 4-16x44 both have tactical turrets, first focal plane and parallax so you can dial it for long range.
Looks like a nice full featured scope for a reasonable price.
Yup .... Buy a T3 heavy bbl in fast twist 223 and give'r.
