223 or 22-250 TacDriver

with some research...and some were asking....
what do you think of this setup;
Stiller action, Bartlein Heavy Varmint 1:8″ twist barrel, Accuracy International AICS chassis, Jewel HVR trigger, Harris bipod, TRACT Optics TORIC 3-15-50mm scope.

That's quite a list of components you rattled off. Sounds like you really know what you're talking about. Should post pics with updates.

Tagged for interest.

Now you're into the thousands.

i know what i said....however off the shelf with a couple extea parts here there still does not achieve looney/twooney groups at 300y..so a smith is required for the machining and tweeking with Spectacular parts from the start
9m tweaking/machining

You have all the answers, why bother posting a thread with criteria???

There are quite a few OTC guns available that can achieve that without tweaking from a gunsmith. Usually the fault in being unable to achieve that lies with the shooter and possibly ammunition. Start with tweaking handloads.

I thought you said you did not want to spend "thousands"?

Didn't want any semis or fulls either. He's BTDT.

Does anyone know of a 223 or 22-250 to vaporize varmits? What is the best out there without paying thousands...no semis...no fulls (had my fill of these and they just are money wasters) just a simple action (short) push feed as opposed to control feed with or without optics. Open sight is ok as my vision is still ok.

any opnions????

You might want to take a look at the new Vortex Diamondback Tactical Riflescopes

There's a 6-24x50 and a 4-16x44 both have tactical turrets, first focal plane and parallax so you can dial it for long range.

Looks like a nice full featured scope for a reasonable price.

at the risk of sounding redundant..i know what i said earlier...not wanting to spend thousands...and yes i loaded my own...pistol as well as rifle with great results just no with a high velocity longer range gopher getter...and no poser here or BTDT....just looking for info and wondering in the end what will work best....as for the ones who have nothing to say that gets treated as blank ammo....as far as all the answers i have none that why i am hear to try get info which some i have found very useful

well that was my 22-250 non heavy barrel and no matter he load (store bought or reloaded) or the scope afer about 7 or
8 rounds it would shoot wild. I would send rhe scopes in and they would come back as nothing wrong, send the gun to be repaired and it would come back as A-OK so i sold it. now my interwst has peaked and staring from scratch to see whats what
