Would an 1895 Winchester in 9.3x62 be a desirable rifle.
If I recall, the 375 scovill is based on a 9.3x62 and there was an article in Rifle about the cartridge in an 1895. And Reb, I think it was Ed Stevenson who was featured in it too.
I say build it!
The 375 Hawk/Scovill was based on the 30-06 case actually and Ed used it for a time but finally went with the 45-70 in a Browning 1886 with a 20" tube. Good move on his part for fat ass, peed off bears in tight quarters.

They chambered a 405 so the 9.3 x 62 would be just a tad smaller then that. Sounds like a good idea. As would 9.3 x 62 in a Browning 1885 High Wall- with a long barrel and a hot load.
