Nice post war (2) commercial FN that be! Maybe late 40's made I reckon. Looks to be drilled & tapped for Weaver bases..dang.
That rifle is fine quality dead ###y and not boring at all. Let us know how it shoots!
I kinda thought that it was not factory drilled given the type of safety on it. I wouldn't have bought it if it wasn't drilled cuz I wouldn't have it done myself.
Previous owner suggested 1940s vintage as well.
It's old and potentially dangerous , Send it to me and I will dispose of it in a safe and responsible manner ............. you're welcome .
'Earz's the vahniller one up fur sale..............

I've had rifles like that in the past and liked them, but you're right that most of my rifles have been 700s. Have been downsizing but doing some upgrading and steamlining. This rifle will make a fine "moose" rifle if I ever get to go again. Will turn 60 in a couple yrs so might need a nice rifle for a retirement moose hunt in NFLD.how come you get that one Paul? you are suppose to love only rem 700 and stevens 200 or marlin xl7 in plastic ...
Given the chance, Iād have bought that rifle in a heartbeat.
Is it an H-ring or a C-ring?
