Browning date of manufacture....input serial number.
Lots of people put them in the EE for $1000+. Mostly sell for $600....perhaps $700 if a magnum.

Before 1969 the number after the M was the year.
1969-75 the number before the M was year
thats were i checked
the rifle SN is ###40M70
so that makes it a 1940 year ???
1970....that makes it a very early made and manufactured in belgium. They have a certain collectable appeal although its hard to find a poorly manufactured Bar. Not sure it would really change the value, perhaps make it sell faster.
