So whats everyone fielding this season?
For late season divers on the open water ill be using my sxs 10ga. Early season will see me hunting rivers with my kayak so ill likely use an ithaca 37 or sxs 12ga depending whether or not im shooting steel or bismuth

Trying to decide what to take for this afternoons dove hunt right now

Like I have for the last 25 years I will be using my back-bored 3" Browning BPS 12 gauge.

On a separate but related note I bought my Migratory Permit yesterday online. DAMN! That beats standing in line at the Post Office. Log in and print off the permit in under 5 minutes.

That will be a lot better, the past few seasons I have to go to three or four postal outlets before I find one that has a permit in stock.

Do you just print a copy and get mailed the original stamp or are you just good to go with the printed copy? My friend manages the post office at the drug store so she lets me know when they come in and i buy in person

You just print a copy and are good to go. You can request an actual stamp which they mail to you at no extra cost - which I did - but it doesn't have to be afixed to the permit for it to be valid.

Beretta 686 Silver Pigeon and Beretta A300...picked up a couple of flats of shells the other day so good to go!

I'll be using my 12 gauge semi-auto Fabarm LRX5. Shooting geese with 3" BB and BBB. Ducks using 2 3/4" 2 and 4 shot. I have 11 boxes accumulated to date. Black Cloud, Blind Side, Kent, Challenger, Imperial.......I try them all and they all work wonderfully!

I had a dream last night that I finally bought a brand new Beretta A400, it was save the tax at the store so I got a pretty good deal and bought a flat of # 4's. Then my wife came into the store and made me return it... no joke, the stores a hour and 45 min from our house and she comes in just as I get the receipt, just dreamt it. So I'll take it as a sign and will be sticking with my 870, 20 gauge, depending on wear I'm headed but usually I'll have on a Carlson Longrange extended steel shot choke, and shoot 3" #4 Black clouds, for Woodies in Timber I like a Mod Choke and Black cloud close range #4's. Good luck everyone!
