PAL Wait Time

Ah, thanks man. Hopefully I have your luck! Not getting my hopes up though.. I'm expecting it'll be weeks longer if not months.. haha.
Figure I'll post my timeline now. Also have a question for anyone who knows. When it says processing complete does that mean it's gone to the CFO? Reason I ask is it went from missing info to processing complete before I even sent in my test results. Especially weird because they said it might be weeks before they check or process my faxed test results.

July 28 - Completed Non-restricted Course
July 29 - Completed Restricted Course
July 31 - Sent application to Miramichi via Xpresspost
August 2 - Application signed for in Miramichi
August 14 - Stamped results received from FSESO
August 14 - Called Miramichi to inquire about sending my stamped results. Told me not to fax them until my application is in their system and to call when it is so I can receive my application reference number
August 31 - Appeared online. Says there is missing information and says I will be contacted.
August 31 - Called Miramichi. Provided information re: missing info and new payment information, payment processed over the phone. Given number to fax my test results to.
August 31 - Online updates to processing completed and now in progress even though I never sent my test results yet. Is that normal?
August 31 - Attempt #1 to fax results failed. Called and got a new number that worked. Was told to call in 3-4 weeks to confirm that they got my test results via fax..

Thought I’d post my Alberta first time PAL application for everyone. Completed the Non Restricted course twice, once in 2004 at age 14 (paperwork was lost in a move or just hasn’t been found yet) and again in 2013.

May 28 2018 - Send PAL application to Mirimach via xpresspost
June 1 2018 - Application Recieved (verified via signature)
July 4 2018 - Application Appears online (Initial processing completed)
July 20 2018 - Call Miriamachi to check if everything is in order, turns out they had my mailing address wrong, was entered incorrectly at initial scan.
Aug 31 2018 - You application has been processed and license has been issued.

Total 92 days from receiving application to issued.

Thought I'd share my wait time as well.

March 16th - After getting my references to sign off, mailed application
March 26th - Application received by Mirimachi
End of April - Found out about the site, checked, Initial processing completed
Mid-May - First call, told application was in final processing, nothing else required
Mid-June - Second call, told still in final processing
July 12th - Came home from work, checked site, PAL issued
July 20th - PAL arrives in mail

Ontario RPal issued today. 41 days total since received. No references called.Today is a good day!! :D

Welp. I was kind of hoping to be approved this week since my timeline is very similar to yours. I faxed in my stamped results last Friday, called today (7 days later) to confirm that they got them and was told there's nothing in the system yet and to give it a few more days. Very unfortunate.. I hope it actually shows up.

Sucks I have to wait 10 days to see if it even went through. And then if not.. send it again, yay. Lol.

Luckily I'm only on day 35 or so I think. But you getting approved 4 days after sending in your test results was nuts. Got my hopes up a bit, haha.

I was told today my photo would be scanned today or early next week and sent to the Albert CFO, so I am sure yours is with the CFO now MoMoney

I'll post my info,

Took courses Aug 4,5th.

Mailed application Aug 10th.

Showed received Aug 15th.

Got Application # Sept 06.

Faxed test scores Sept 07.

Hopefully it's not too much longer, i'll give them a call next Friday.

BTW, fax number is not the 613# on the contact page, it is 1-800-411-0622

I hope so. The 1-800 number for faxing them wasn't working for me, so I had to fax to a 506 fax number they gave me. I'm hoping that didn't delay mine or something. I worry one machine gets priority over another or something haha, but I'm probably reading into it too much.

RPAL, MB (did not have any type of license before)

Appeared Online July 18, 2018 with a message some information was missing.
Missing photo was received in Miramichi on July 23, 2018
Photo was processed on August 13th
Called in yesterday September 7th, and still no news I was told to call back in 2-3 weeks, and hopefully there will be an update. I think it's making progress the man on the phone wanted to confirm my contact details (phone number that I can be reached at) so maybe I'll be getting a call.

An update to my timeline as well...

Was this RPAL or PAL?

Just spoke to RCMP, photo still waiting to be scanned apparently, don’t know why that takes 5 days but anyway. The lady on the phone said after it is scanned it will either go to the CFO or be approved immediately, I thought all applications went to the CFO, can anyone confirm either way?

Yeah. I faxed my info in 10 days ago. Still hasn't been processed.. sad that there's just a pile of forms on a fax machine they can't even keep up with. Real unfortunate. There's no rhyme or reason to it. 3 days before mine was faxed, someone elses was processed from the same machine in 4 days and his whole application was approved.. but mine still hasn't left the fax machine after 10 days.

Also, I thought they all had to go to CFO too? But like I said, another guys application got approved on day 41, 4 days after he faxed his stamped test results in and 4 days is apparently how long it's supposed to take to processed a faxed document. So in that case, I almost believe it wasn't sent to the CFO and he was just approved.

The inconsistency is what grinds my gears, I’ve seen some approved in days after they appear online, and some take upwards of two months when submitted to the same province, around the same time

B.C. Mailed in my application July 26th. Received an email Sept 3rd (labour day?) that my application was received on August 3rd and was incomplete. Phoned September 5th. My height was absent. Pal approved online today, September 10th, three business days after calling in missing info.
