We will be doing them in both the Match Series (416R SS) and the Guardian Series (4140 Black Nitride). We just dont have any photos of Nitrided ones yet.

There will not be enough wall thickness for effective flutes. Any flutes would be superficial and not worth the cost so we will not flute the pencil barrels.

I heard at 18ish inches, it’s still a better choice to do midlength gas system, unless the rifle length ports are drilled slightly bigger for reliability and to cycle most of the Ammo. Are you positive you won’t make mid length pencil nitride barrels? I’d throw my money at one right away!

EDIT: never mind, I was confused with your other post where you said you’d be going Rifle length from then on. Can you confirm that these will be in mid length gas system?

We are only making 18.6" barrels in rifle length gas systems going forward to streamline production and keep up with demand.

We are using 0.935" gas port on all 18.6" 223 Wylde barrels with a rifle length gas system. These barrels have been tested to run reliably with a variety of ammo including Norinco 5.56, Federal Independence, Federal AE, Federal SMK, PMC Bronze, Hornday V-Max, Hornady ELD.

With that said, if a customer experiences any reliability issues with our barrels, they are covered by our no hassle lifetime warranty.

We are waiting on barrel extensions. Its going to be one more week.

Canada Post lost the first shipment of barrel extensions and FedEx sent the second shipment to Japan by accident. What a gong show. Barrel extensions will finally be back from NiB plating next week.

Anyone who has ordered a barrel has it reserved waiting for the extensions. We did a very big production run, we wont be running out of barrels for awhile.

Our 308 barrels go into production next week. We are only doing SPR profiile with our deep fluting for the first batch. They will weigh under 2lbs.

We might look at pencil profile later in the year. Not sure we really need to do that considering our deep fluting makes our regular barrels so light.
